Nice story about the Tigers who reached the Quarterfinals last year, losing to Rock Bridge at
Columbia. Click on the link to be taken to the video.
Head Coach Jacob Osborne deserves a lot of credit for creating the environment the Tigers needed
to re-establish the winning tradition at Carthage, with District titles the past three years.

Another nice day on the pitch ahead of us as temps started out in the low 70′s and aren't
supposed to exceed 79 later this afternoon. Slight cloud cover, it's pretty sweet compared to what
we've experienced in the past.
Springfield SC
Four teams competing today, with Boys 13-16 games.
First day complete, I made it out to one game and will be out for more over yhe next two days
for certain, maybe three.

The early report indicates that all of the Boys teams won today. The girls lost their game to
the defending State Champions, a difficult introduction to State Cup play.
The 2011 Missouri State Cup will be held June 11 16, 2011 in St. Louis, MO at the SLYSA and
Sportport complexes. The Missouri State Cup is the first leg of the US Youth National Championship
Series. All age groups (Under 13 up to Under 19) will participate June 11th 16th. The 2012 Girls
State Cup will be played in the Fall later this year as MYSA separates the tournaments by
gender.

The 7th Annual All-Star game will be held on Thursday June 23rd this year. I will not be
associated with the game this year but Springfield SC, founders of the game, are committed to
continuing the tradition and will be announcing the Boys and Girls teams for this year very
soon.
Watch this space for more details.

As the High School season comes to a close, so is the Club season. There are effectively three
levels of competition now in the US with the highest level being the US Soccer Development
Academies such as the JR Sporting KC program in KC.

The Springfield Soccer Club is excited to announce the hiring of Tim Davis. Tim comes to
Springfield from Park City, UT where he was the Assistant Director of Coaching for the Park City

U9 Boys Demize vs Future
U11 Girls Missouri Elite FC vs Ajax SC
U11 Girls Springfield Legends vs Springfield SC
Rumor has it the tournament reached the 120 team mark this year which will draw 4000 plus
players and family to Springfield this weekend. There are games on the Boy's side ranging from U9
up to the U19 category for senior boys headed for college in the Fall. On the Girls side it's U9 up
to U14. The tournament is co-hosted by Total Demize SC who are well represented but I also see
SpringHigh, Springfield SC, Magic, Vehr, Springfield Legends, Rolla Knights, Cobra's, Missouri
Elite FC, Nixa SC, SW MO Cyclones and other regional programs from Columbia, KC, St Louis and
Northwest Arkansas.
The two state-wide competitions have registration deadlines quickly approaching. Last year one
Girls team (Missouri Elite FC U14 Girls) competed along with two Boys programs Springfield SC and
Total Demize in State Cup. Will your team compete?
The alternate choice is the President's Cup which offers a lower tier of competition but the
result is still an opportunity to move on to Regional competition and even a National
tournament.

Beautiful weather this weekend, the reason teams want to come to Southwest Missouri in early
March although as we know it's a dice role what we'll get. All I know is I need to dig out the
sunscreen!
It's a small competition this year, with six age/gender groups competing. There are 3 Boy's
groups, with Under 10, Under 13 and Under 14 featuring 12 teams.
