There was no blood, no bruise, not even a bump. Not a sprain, no strain, no fracture and no break. Yet the injury was scarier than the time I had managed to get a rusty fishing hook nearly through my right thumb. Two weeks later, the symptoms have finally subsided, but the grim possibilities of future problems remain.

Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers is proving to be one of the best free agent acquisitions in all of baseball. The Rangers are playing great, Beltre is smashing and his defense has been amazing. Unfortunately, we have to give you an Adrian Beltre injury update due to a pulled hamstring.

Beltre pulled his hamstring on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays during the fifth inning.

Jhon Kennedy Hurtado's MRI Reveals MCL Sprain

Looks like a crisis has been averted and Jhon Kennedy Hurtado did not suffer a serious injury during Sunday's match against the Portland Timbers. An MRI revealed that Hurtado sprained his MCL. Reports out of practice suggest he could be back within a week.
