Spain were indisputably the best team on show, and deserved winner of their first major championship in 34 years. However, a personal highlight was the re-emergence of Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic, after he had spent most of 2007 recovering from 2 kidney transplants.

Nedved's Notes 04 November @ 05:34 PM EST
Sido Jombati extended his hand, and with a warm smile on his face said, 'My name is Sido.'
I couldn't help but laugh. I had just contacted him a few days ago to tell him what a big fan I was, and to request an interview with him for this blog. I certainly knew who his name. I was to learn, though, that Sido is as unassuming as he is friendly. Click to continue reading...

Maybe its time

Only Time Will Tell 30 October @ 12:38 PM EST
With Rangers getting closer and closer to almost becoming Leeds United, maybe its time for both Celtic and Rangers to run away from the Scottish Premier League and head for greener pastures. Rangers 's club's bankers Lloyds are owed £30million by the end of the campaign. With a TV contract that is nothing to celebrate the only way that they maybe be able to meet the payment is to sell half of the first team. Click to continue reading...

CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United: Preview

Red Rants 20 October @ 06:37 AM EST

It's been quite a week! From beach balls to touchline brawls and slack marking to summit embarking. Now Moscow and the artificial pitch awaits for Ferguson and his charges where three more points would go even further to sealing United's progression into the next phase of the Champions League.

It's worth noting that trips to the Luzhniki Stadium haven't been too unkind in recent years either, although CSKA certainly won't be a proverbial walk in the park synthetic grass.

Arsenal Station 29 September @ 08:21 AM EST

As Arsenal prepare for Matchday 2 of the Champions League Group Stage this evening, it is hard to look at the changes made to this part of the tournament by Michel Platini, European football's equivalent to the anti-christ, as being, in any way, beneficial to the competition.

Platini's motives are somewhat sound, even if his execution is not.
