Arsenal transfer news- Patricio close to Arsenal move?

The Arsenal transfer target, Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio, has admitted that he may be leaving his beloved Sporting Lisbon this summer. In an interview with the Portuguese press he said "I feel good here, but we must consider many things. I still do not know what the future holds for me".

The keeper was the subject of an £8 Million bid just last week from Arsenal which was immediately rejected by Sporting.

It is being reported in Portugal today that Arsenal have had a bid of 10 Million Euros rejected for Sporting Lisbon Keeper Rui Patricio. The bid is worth around 8 Million Pounds and was rejected immediately but Sporting have told Arsenal the player will be available if the price is right, apparently.

Sporting Kansas City is back at it tomorrow against the Seattle Sounders at Sporting Park in a rematch of last year's US Open Cup final. Both teams are coming into the game on short rest, Sporting at least will have not had to travel, although they'll have one less day of rest. Seattle played in Philadelphia on Saturday earning a 2-2 draw while Kansas City took care of Chivas USA 4-0.

For the first time this season, Sporting KC lost at home, twice losing the lead as they felt to the Portland Timbers 3-2 at Sporting Park last night.

Things couldn't have started better for Sporting though as under a minute in they were in front. A long throw from Matt Besler was headed in by Chance Myers for his first career MLS goal.

Sporting will play another home opener this week when they travel to Toronto to take on TFC at the Rogers Centre. With the earlier start, Toronto is moving the game from BMO Field to the larger facility.
