The Arsenal transfer target, Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio, has admitted that he may be leaving his beloved Sporting Lisbon this summer. In an interview with the Portuguese press he said "I feel good here, but we must consider many things. I still do not know what the future holds for me".
The keeper was the subject of an £8 Million bid just last week from Arsenal which was immediately rejected by Sporting.
It is being reported in Portugal today that Arsenal have had a bid of 10 Million Euros rejected for Sporting Lisbon Keeper Rui Patricio. The bid is worth around 8 Million Pounds and was rejected immediately but Sporting have told Arsenal the player will be available if the price is right, apparently.

MLS returns this weekend for the 2013 season. Sporting KC and Philadelphia get the honor of being the teams that actually kick the season off, with the first game on Saturday. The two teams are set to kick off at 3pm Central Time at PPL Park.

The MLS Superdraft is 2 weeks away from tomorrow, but Sporting KC isn't going to be very busy on that date. The team has traded both of their second round picks, leaving them with only the 14th pick in the Superdraft. The team's natural selection in the second round, the 33rd overall was traded to San Jose as part of the trade that brought Ike Opara to Kansas City.

The saga surrounding Sporting KC's stadium name rights sponsor, Livestrong took another turn this past week, as on November 4th, Lance Armstrong resigned from his position on the board of directors for Livestrong. The resignation cuts all formal ties between Armstrong and the charity that he had helped found.
Sporting KC had already announced that they'd be returning to the Disney Pro Soccer Classic but today more of their preseason was announced, including a return to Tucson. For the third straight year, Sporting KC will spend part of their preseason in Arizona. Sporting will arrive in Tucson on the 20th of January to begin their preseason training.
Sporting Kansas City needed just a point to secure first place in the Eastern Conference on Wednesday night, but after turning in a below-par performance against the New York Red Bulls last weekend, the East leaders needed a strong outing to give them some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Breathe it in folks. Fall is surrounding us (even here in Dallas for me!) and playoff soccer is so close you can taste it. There are just two more weeks left in the season and this week could be the biggest of them all as we close in on who will be the last four teams that reach the post season.
Sporting KC had an extra day to see the results around the league break down from last night and none of the results went KC's way. DC and Chicago both won closing the gap on KC at the top of the Eastern conference. Today, Sporting took on the Crew looking to build that lead back up and guarantee themselves a top 2 spot in the East and put themselves only 1 point away from clinching the East.
