A lot has been said in relation to renaming the new stadium that will be built near our home, White Hart Lane, as well as handing out other naming rights to other stadia around the country such as the future New Anfield and Stamford Bridge.
Many of us just want the naming rights to be left alone. Click to continue reading...

Play five games, get two cars

Dirty Tackle 09 October @ 02:11 PM EST

Last week, each Barcelona player got their very own brand new Audi as part of the German car manufacturer's sponsorship of the club. Not bad, right? I wouldn't mind a new Audi.

Well Emerson (of the UAE club Al-Ain) laughs at them. Just one brand new Audi? Only punks get just one brand new Audi.

My Big Problem With Liverpool’s New Sponsorship Deal…

EPL Talk 15 September @ 02:11 PM EST

I have a big problem with Liverpool's new sponsor. While I'm glad to see a deal that will provide the club with £80m over the next four years, and while the hope that new stadium plans and healthier transfer budgets will emerge gets me giddy... it's Standard Chartered Bank... I can't drink it during matchtime.

Wolves won’t make your kid advertise gambling

Dirty Tackle 05 August @ 03:47 PM EST

With promotion to the Premier League, Wolverhampton have also gained a fancy new online gambling house sponsor to adorn their kits this season. But what's different about this sponsorship is that for the first time ever, a club with a gambling sponsor will offer a choice of logos on the junior replica kits they sell either that of the gaming site or that of the Wolves Community Trust, the club's charity arm, so parents actually have the option of whether they want their kids to be a human billboard for something that will probably have them taking out ill-advised loans at some point in their life.
