In the wake of Liverpool's new £80m shirt sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered (nice touch
ending both words with that beautiful -rd sound, btw), the club's managing director Christian
Purslow (pictured above, far right) met with a delegation from the Sons of Shankly fan group, which
has led the charge to drive Hicks and Gillett to sell the club.

MLS Rumors 02 March @ 04:57 PM EST
It appears so as the "Colorado" and "Rapids" wordmark has been removed from
this year's shirts, revealed today. Also gone is the "Rapids" stitching from the back of
the neck, replaced in one photo with "5280". This move is not unlike what happened with
DC United's three stripes at the start of last season which raises the question: Who do you think
is going to be the Rapid's shirt sponsor?

We just received independent confirmation of our guess about the FC Dallas jersey sponsor. It comes
from a different emailer than the one who tipped us off but would not name the company involved.
However one detail we chose to leave out of his original email was the fact that the company was
based in Dallas as we were still looking for confirmation of that and now we have it.

It's funny how rumors work. Often they are way off the mark other times they are 100% true but most
exist in a sort of a grey area between absolute truth and total fiction.
For instance, the leaked photo of the Sounders uniform is likely totally true however the sponsor
one of our sources suspected was Jones Soda turns out not to be.

saved it right here on the internets.
Nice shade of green in a league dominated by red and blue. We've been told by a reliable Seattle
based source (the one who clued us in to the trademarked proposed names a while back) that the
Sponsor that is pixelated is actually Jones Soda.
