Arsenal are watching Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul.
The People says Arsenal scouts will be keen spectators when Krul skippers the Dutch Under-21 side
against Spain, in Rotterdam, on Tuesday.
Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, who is
understudy to Steve Harper at St James' Park.

After 0-0 in Bahrain, New Zealand had all the advantages to progress to their second World Cup
ever. 35,000 spectators in Wellington were an all-time record for a football match in New Zealand,
and they were not disappointed as New Zealand managed to pull a narrow 1-0 victory on a goal by the
Plymouth Argyle striker Rory Fallon.

AC Milan thinks it's being nice by offering tickets at a discount rate to win back disgruntled
fans.
I hate it when stories try to portray teams are being nice in these circumstances.
The team is just trying to make as much money as possible. With less demand, you have to lower the
price.

Keith Hackett stating the obvious.
"I have said to managers in the past that this is an area of great difficulty for referees and
it can come down to the viewing angle of the referee."
I think it is time to give him the goods on the human eye. The game has gotten a lot quicker and
the art of deception even more perfect.

Greetings, Dynamo fans. I haven't written in awhile. It's partly because my internet closes out
90% of the time I try to access the site, but mostly because soccer (or MLS) hasn't held my
interest.
I am fairly new to soccer so I was hoping this blog would chronicle my growing appreciation and
understanding of the sport.

by CARL ELDRIDGE I've been to a good few Arsenal games over the past four decades but never have
I had the pleasure to bump in to a Gunners fan quite as lovely as this buxom babe. More's the
bleedin' pity!
So when this rather appealing snap landed at arsenalinsider we thought
it only right and proper to share it with our growing army of visitors.

A playoff win against Chivas USA - and this shot - eluded the Galaxy and goalkeeper Donovan
Ricketts Sunday at Home Depot Center. (AP Photo)
So Chivas USA Coach Preki walks into the press conference after the game and virtually the first
thing out of his mouth are the words:
"I guess it was a fun game for the spectators, not so much for the
coaches.

Flamengo v Fluminense, Brazil
Over the coming weeks we'll be giving you the run down on the World's most passionate and
fiercest rivalry in football. We start our list with two Brazilian giants.
History
Known as ‘Fla-Flu' this is Brazil's most passionate rivalry, dating back to 1911 when 9
Fluminense players quit the club to form Flamengo, which at the time was just a rowing club, any
one for Pimms old boy?

The Gerrards took in the Liverpool v. Manchester United game on Sunday as spectators, since
Steven is still nursing that groin injury.
Hee. We said "groin".
Since it's been awhile since these two were last photographed/spotted out together, we're not
entirely sure the reason behind the long faces.

Jack Bell creates a list of 10 most memorable games at Giants Stadium.
Some of the highlights.
Last summer's USA vs Mexico Gold Cup final turned out be an embarrassing 5-0 rout. David
Beckham's New York introduction in 2007 resulted in a 5-4 pulsating shootout between the Galaxy and
the Red Bulls.

Oh man, do we have a barn burner on our hands tonight or what?!? It's going to be incendiary, a
real slobber knocker. People of Earth, it's the Dynamo versus Isidro Metapan!
Approximately 10 hours from now, just 10 short hours, we can relive the glory, the passion, the
edge-of-your-seat, non-stop heart-pounding action that once captivated the heavens above and the
world below.

7. Camp Nou, Barcelona
Open since: 1957
Capacity: 98,000
Tenant(s): FC Barcelona
World Cup hosts: 1982
In its relatively brief (by soccer mecca standards) history, Barcelona's Camp Nou has hosted some
memorable matches: a World Cup, a memorable Champions League final (very memorable for Manchester
United fans) and an Olympic gold medal game, to name but a few.

Introducing a new series of features on national teams travelling to the FIFA World Cup in South

seems that despite their successful qualification for the

paying any attention to them.

If I recall correctly the average attendance in the Indonesian League back in 2007 was about
11,000. For the season just completed it was always going to be a lot less given that clubs like
PSMS, Persitara, Persija and Persija couldn't use their own stadiums for what ever reason.
In addition clubs like Arema, Deltras and PSIS had less than impressive campaigns.

We've all been there. It's the last minute and your team is clinging on to a vital, undeserved
win away from home. You stand and bellow support for your lads with their backs against the walls,
frantically throwing themselves in front of every ball headed toward the goal to break your
heart.

Public displays of fake unity are never entirely convincing. Take Brown and Blair in the 2005
election campaign or Ritchie and Madonna in the final days of their marriage. However, the
post-goal celebration between
Franck Ribery and his boss
Louis van Gaal was
positively coital in its intensity.

Barca coach Pep Guardiola had what we can only imagine was an incredible evening for him, attending

Pep, there with his wife Cristina, was recognized and recieved by the fans with a standing ovation
before the concert began.

It is perhaps the most vexing part of watching football, yes even more so than diving and
simulation. I am talking about the negative tactics played by Europe's top clubs in some of the
most anticipated matches every year.
This happens numerous times a year and we all got an early taste of it in the Manchester United
vs Arsenal match over this past weekend.

It seems that whenever a team does poorly they just fire the coach. Well I guess they have to
blame somebody. It's no surprise that the New York Red Bulls were the worst team in the MLS this
season holding a 2-16-4 score.
Juan Carlos Osorio - N.Y. Red Bulls
I suppose that the blame could could have been pointed at anyone of the players but the
scapegoat turned out to be the head coach, Juan Carlos Osorio.

Don't get me wrong. I am very happy that Abou Diaby and William Gallas are on the leader board
as far as scoring goals is concerned. As long as Arsenal wins, it does not make an ounce of
difference who scores the goals. But here we are three games into the season with three wins and 12
goals scored.

US AIK 21 August @ 06:16 AM EST
AIK won't enjoy any sort of peace and quiet at the top of Allsvenskan. Their pole position will
immediately be threatened by a very tough opponent as the reigning champions Kalmar FF comes to
RÃ¥sunda on Saturday. It's a tricky match-up that AIK hasn't won since 2006. But this game could
very well mark a negative turning point for Kalmar, a team that has been an unlikely success story
for the past few years.

Considering the amount of physical exertion that takes place on football pitches the length and
breadth of the country each year, it is perhaps surprising that that there are so few deaths
amongst those people that play the game each week. Indeed, we should be grateful for the fact that
such deaths are so rare that the names of those that do die playing football live long in the
memory.

Giles Oakley has offered us some more insight to United of days gone by, looking at the best
'street-fighters' at United, in two parts.
I have often wondered if I am the only person who witnessed both of the two most spectacular
match-day assaults ever perpetrated by Manchester United players on spectators, explosively sudden
moments of violence which occured with a 35 year interval between them and which had markedly
different impacts on the players concerned, and on the club.
