On Friday, Florida Southern (8-5-0) was able to get three goals past Spartan keeper, Kendall
Bourdon, in the opening twenty-two minutes and then sit on that 3-0 lead until full time. The UT
(5-7-1)defense was able to recover after the opening barrage and only gave up one shot after going
down the three goals, however, the Spartans were not able to get any goals back.

UT managed to score for the first time in three matches, but it was not near enough for the
Spartans (3-5-1) to halt their losing streak, which now stands at three. It is little consolation
for Tampa that Friday's 4-2 loss to Armstrong Atlantic (6-1-2) was the Spartan's third consecutive
match against a nationally ranked foe.

Columbus State University (6-0-1) scored two first half goals and then a third in the second half,
to defeat UT 3-0. The Spartans (3-4-1) fell to their second straight nationally ranked opponent on
Sunday.
UT was out shot 10-5 in the match and only managed to get one of their shots on the Cougar goal.

UT found its scoring touch in the final minutes of Friday afternoon's match to keep its 100%
record. The NSCAA number one ranked Spartans (4-0-0) opened the scoring in the ninth minute when
Lister Warren scored his third goal in two games off a Dan Ingvarsson free kick.
Savannah College of Art and Design struck back for an equalizer in the fifty-seventh minute when
Josiah Millar scored on an assist by Ellert Hreinsson.

UT's Swedish defender, Dan Ingvarsson [right], converted a penalty kick in the fifty-third minute
to keep the Spartans undefeated on the season. The penalty was awarded when the Clayton State
goalkeeper, David Christofoli, took down Tampa's Lister Warren in the box.
The shots taken in the match were fairly even, with UT (2-0-0) out shooting the Lakers 10-8.

It was 1-1 when I arrived in the mad dash from the west-side, and I understand that the Italian
Wizard put the ball in the back of the net for the early goal.
