Sahar was signed as someone with great promise at Stamford Bridge but never really shined or got a
chance at Chelsea. The fee is rumoured to be around the million pound mark. Sahar was loaned no
less than five times by Chelsea and is an established member of the Israel national side.

It looks like Ronaldo will be joining Kaka sooner rather than later. United have today accepted
an astonishing £80 million bid from Real Madrid. (is he really £21 million better than the
Brazilian??) Quite incredible.
It looked like initially we were going to have to endure the summer-long transfer saga
again.

It was a decisive weekend in European soccer with Barcelona crushing Real Madrid to extend their

Inter recovering to keep a 7 point lead. In the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, the races are far from over
and very close.

So after my thinly veiled criticism of Barcelona's failure to show us all against Chelsea just why
they have scored so many goals this season - they go and prove their point - by beating Real Madrid
at the Bernabeu. And not just beating them; thrashing them....6-2 to be exact.
A phenomenal performance from the Catalan giants; Chelsea would've watched with slight unease at
the way Barca romped to a convincing win over their bitter rivals.

Gonzalo Higuaín races away in ecstasy after firing the last-minute winner that hands Real
Madrid their 31st Primera Liga title. Real had been 1-0 down at Osasuna before Arjen Robben's
equaliser and Higuaín's late strike sealed a magnificent comeback that confirms their status
as champions, with three games still to play.

Miguel Ángel Lotina was recently asked for his thoughts on the dramatic turn of events that
occurred during Real Madrid vs Getafe, a match in which ‘the other' Madrid side won by a
much-talked about goal to nil. ‘If you score a goal, the first thing you must do is check for the
linesman's flag, always' was the Deportivo la Coruña manager's response.

The 25th round of the 2007-2008 La Liga season was a benefit for the football spectacle. The gap
between the leaders Real Madrid and second placed Barcelona has now shrunk to 2 points and this is
great news for the football fans. It assures a dramatic last part of the season in the Primera
Division and everyone is delighted, except for sure the Real Madrid fans who saw their team from
huge favourites on defending their La Liga title, to huge favourites to lose the title.

Alfredo di Stefano, the legendary Real Madrid striker who terrorised clubs all over Europe and the
world years ago when football was more about skills and dribbling instead of fast paced
athleticism, will be honoured by Spanish Primera Liga club Real Madrid with a large statue to be

Denilson was once touted as the young bright hope of Brazilian soccer, and even compared to the
great Pele. Blessed with quick feet and a dribbling style that resembled many Brazilian legends
that had gone before him, Denilson was a hot property in Europe before landing in Spain. Once
there, he suffered the same plight that befell many other young Brazilian players before him that
came with the 'next Pele' nametag.

There should be no doubts amongst most, unless you were a Barcelona fan, that after watching these
match highlights, Real Madrid will go on to win the Spanish Primera Liga title. In an impressive
7-0 trouncing of Real Valladolid at home on Sunday, Real Madrid finally put to rest their recent
form against the smaller teams when they struggled to gather any points.

While my editorial team works on the match highlights for this match of the week in the Spanish

Now Real Madrid is really coasting to the Spanish Primera title this season but they are doing it
with some adventure and fun, scoring many but conceding just as many. But who cares when you have
enough firepower to overwhelm all your league opponents right? You would have thought that this 3-2
win over Villareal should have made Schuster a hero but apparently even by delivering scintillating
soccer, the Real Madrid management still aren't happy and want to replace him.

Now for the goal highlights between Villareal and Deportivo Coruna. Lots of goals and drama in this
game as the home side crawled back from a 2-1 deficit to hammer Deportivo before another late goal
for the visitors made it a nervy last few minutes. However, Turkish striker Nihat Kahveci put on a
fine show by scoring two beautiful goals and showing how useful a player he is.

The news from the highlight reels regarding Barcelona and Real Murcia is that Thierry Henry is back
and he badder than ever! Of course, looking at this comp, you can also see he is back to his old
whining self but the man has mad skillz and he's now showing what the Emirates Stadium is missing
against Birmingham but you can never doubt Arsene Wenger's evaluation and I'm sure come the end of
Henry's playing career his highlights would still belong with Arsenal.

Here are some highlights of the Spanish Primera Liga match between Levante and Real Madrid. Real as
always rode their luck during the game before slowly forcing their authority and in the end
comfortably walked away with the points after top scorer Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored twice, once
from a penalty, the other a long range stunner, to put the Spanish league leaders 7 points clear at
the top.
