Spanish club Real Madrid has for the seventh consecutive year topped the football rich list this
is according to auditing and financial advisory firm Deloite &Touche. Madrid posted a turnover of
£433m for the 2010/2011 season to finish first ahead of arch rivals and fellow Spanish side
Barcelona who came in second with revenues of £407m.
Audit and financial advisory firm Deloite & Touche released it's football money league rich list
yesterday with La Liga club Real Madrid topping the list for a seventh successive year. Closing
following Madrid in second was fellow Spanish club Barcelona.
United came in third on the list, however, it is the dominance of English clubs in the top ten
that has got people really talking.
Giovani Dos Santos is no stranger to moving during the winter transfer window, but instead of
what has happened in past years, he is on the verge of leaving club purgatory for good.
Forever glued to the bench at Tottenham, the 22-year-old Mexican star is on the verge of a full
transfer to Spanish club Villarreal, according to reports from Europe.

Tim Ream's giveaway to Danny Mwanga that resulted in the Roger Torres game winning goal when New
York played the Union at PPL in April has been named the Gaffe of the Year by MLSsoccer.com. Yeah,
it was pretty gaffable.
An AP report at ESPN begins, "Major League Soccer player Freddy Adu will train with Rayo
Vallecano and may join the Spanish club.
Good article on MLSsoccer.com about Gavin Wilkinson and his travels abroad. I think we all
already knew this, but he pretty much spelled it out that we're going to see a couple new faces
this off season from abroad which shouldn't be surprising given the amount of scouting he's been
doing in recent months.

Is Freddy Adu already thinking about returning to Europe?
A report from SI titled "Adu to train with Spanish club with eye on move" says Rayo Vallecano
sporting director Felipe Minambres told The Associated Press on Thursday, "This is the first step,
that he comes and trains and gets to know us and the club, and we get to know him.
While the demotion of Manchester City and Manchester United from the UEFA Champions League to
the second-tier Europa League has been very well documented, the Premier League leaders have
company when it comes to failure in Europe this season.
The London pairing of Fulham and Tottenham did not even make the final 32 of Europa League and
with Championship outfit Birmingham out of contention as well, Stoke is the only other side
representing England in the competition.
Hold on, calm down, deep breaths.... hear me out, then shout/speak/swear !!
Before I start my reasoning, if you can call it that, I want to say how much I love Robin to
bits, he is just the kind of Captain the club needed after being diddled somewhat by the last few.
His goals this year, in particular this season, have potentially saved us from a major crisis.

Wayne Rooney will be able to play in group stage of Euro 2012 after all.
Accompanied by England head coach Fabio Capello, Rooney had his three-game ban reduced to two
after a successful appeal to UEFA on Thursday. The decision to shorten Rooney's ban, which came as
a result of Rooney receiving a red card against Montenegro in a Euro qualifier last month, means he
will be eligible to play in England's final group match against Ukraine.
Tomorrow we will know the future of Chelsea FC in the UEFA Champions League and , probably,
the future of Portuguese manager Andres Villas Boas in the bench of the sout-west London club. The
"Blues" has the chance to qualify to the knock out of the most important tournament for European
clubs, as they will play at Stamford Bridge in front of their supporters, but an easy qualification
is not to be taken for granted.

Just days after Neymar put pen to paper and signed a new improved contract that will see him
stay with Brazilian club Santos until 2014, club President Luis Alvaro Ribiero has spoken out on
Spanish club Real Madrid's aim to sign the teen sensation.
Ribiero who did not have any kind words for the European power house slammed the club's
behaviour labeling it lamentable and arrogant.
Plucked from obscurity: Alan Bald, Darlei Santos and Airton Michellon
Spanish club Malaga have announced the signings of three 17-year-olds from Juventude.
Alan Bald, Darlei Santos and Airton Michellon impressed the Spaniards during the Copa Cotif
L'Alcúdia in August when the Brazilian club made it all the way to final before losing to
Valencia.
If you believe certain parts of the press this week, Malaga are the club with money to burn and
they are set to approach Spurs in January with two very different £20m offers.
The first, and marginally more likely is an offer for Aaron Lennon, who has made an impressive
return to the Spurs first team with a goal and three assists in his last two games.
Why would you refuse a big offer from CHELSEA FC & French Club PARIS ST GERMAIN ? That is the
story today in SPANISH FOOTBALL Sports press as 20 year old Belgium sensation EDEN HAZARD is
apparently that player. But for which Spanish Club has this "kid" his dreams placed on? Hazard
According to the news the Spanish Football Club is REAL MADRID.

Football fashion - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Fashion matters more to football than the average supporter might care to acknowledge. Most
spectators aren't overly concerned about their personal aesthetic at 3pm on a Saturday. In fact,
for that matter, many neglect to engage in even the most rudimentary of personal grooming practices
full stop.
Following reported interested from Real Madrid, Javier Hernandez has just agreed a new five year
deal with Manchester United.
His representative, Eduardo Hernandez, today reported that after scoring 20 goals in his first
season, the club have decided to reward the striker.
"We have renegotiated Javier's contract and he is now committed for five years with
Manchester United," he said.
News today from Spanish Sports paper "AS" highlights the apparent continued interest of Spanish
Football Club REAL MADRID for Belgium Football talent & French Club LILLE midfielder EDEN HAZARD.
This is not really fresh news as for the last two seasons the Spanish Club has been monitoring
closely the young player, especially ex Real Madrid - now "executive" - Zinadine Zidane who is his

Michael Laudrup has stepped down as manager of Mallorca after just over a year in charge of the
Spanish club.
The Dane has come under pressure recently after a poor string of results at the start of the new
Primera La Liga competition, but his side did beat Real Sociedad 2-1 on Sunday.
Laudrup's assistant Erik Larsen was dismissed by club owner Lorenzo Serra Ferrer on Monday evening,
after Larsen went public with his thoughts on Serra Ferrer.
Big spending Malaga are lining up a New Year swoop for Manchester City and Liverpool target Raul

The Spain international, who joined Real Madrid for £13m from Valencia in 2009, has fallen out of
favour at the Bernabeu and is yet to feature this season.
The 26-year-old is desperate to make Vicente Del Bosque's squad for next summer's European
Championship finals in Poland and Ukraine and reports in Spain have revealed he is ready to leave
the club in January to secure first-team football.
The big business story to hit the web today was the possible sale of a minority stake in SUM.
The Sports Business Daily is reporting that Providence Equity Partners is seeking to purchase 25%
of SUM for $125-150 million. The deal would certainly infuse cash into the investors and operators
of MLS franchises, but whether the funds would be used to improve the standard of play is an open
question.
Daniel Kaplan and John Ourand have joined together in a story to report that Major League Soccer
is exploring selling a significant share in Soccer United Marketing. The 25% share is possibly
being sold to Providence Equity Partners for between 125 and 150 Million dollars. It turns out big
investment firms like to make money, and it seems that MLS through SUM is doing just that right
now.
For years we heard Cristiano Ronaldo claimed that only God knew where he future lay when asked
about rumours linking him with Real Madrid.
Now the tables have turned, with Ronaldo playing for the Spanish club, and claiming that one day
he may return to United.
"I don't close the door, so maybe in the future I hope so, because I know the league, I know
the players, I know the atmosphere," said Ronaldo.

Liverpool flop Christian Poulsen has joined Ligue 1 newcomers Evian TG, despite late interest from
Espanyol.
Poulsen failed to make his mark at Anfield after signing for the club from Juventus last summer and
will leave the club having started just nine Premier League games.
It has been reported that Spanish club Espanyol were keen on a late move and asked Liverpool if
they could take the 31-year-old on loan for the season.

FC Barcelona won the UEFA Super Cup in Monaco last night beating FC Porto by two goals to nil.
It is the second trophy already this season for the Catalans who had also won their domestic super
cup against Real Madrid less than a fortnight ago.
The spirited Portuguese started the game sharper and had some good early chances against the
favourites.
Atletico Madrid have given Uruguay striker Diego Forlan permission to negotiate a possible
transfer, the Spanish club said today.
The 32-year-old dropped out of Atletico's squad just before they flew to Portugal for Thursday's
Europa League qualifier against Vitoria Guimaraes, and Spanish media have linked him with interest
from Inter Milan, with whom he has been heavily linked with.

We all know about Arsenal's problems in recruiting new players, but it now appears they are even
having trouble in getting rid of players they don't want with a certain French defender up for

Sevilla and broke into the first [.
Manuel Queimadelos Alonso/Getty Images(Bleacher Report)Juan Mata was originally a Liverpool target
as the Reds had been tracking him since January. However, his performance in Spain's U21 European
Championships was a stock raising moment if there has been one.
With the Reds most likely out of the running as the player was destined to want Champions League
football, Liverpool turned their full attentions to the signature of Stewart Downing whom they
signed in the early part of July.
It's looking like 20 year old Dani Pacheco will be leaving on a season long long to Spanish club
Rayo Vallecano.
It's quite often talked about this player having massive potential and being a great player in
the Spanish youth team.

Let's be honest, apart from the four signings we have made this summer in Piazon, Romeu, Courtious
and Lukaku, we have all been pretty much sitting here waiting for some big names to come and join
our squad.
We have seen the likes of City, United and Liverpool splashing silly money on rebuilding and
strengthening their squad and have yet to see Chelsea do the same.

Getafe aren't exactly averse to embracing the wierd and wonderful in their attempts to flog
match tickets, indeed we've seen fans lay eggs and koalas commit suicide before thanks to the
Spanish club.
Therefore, you'll be glad to know that their latest NSFW attempt to shill their wares ploughs a
similar furrow what with it containing a group trip to the sperm back, a Getafe-themed zombie
lesbian porn video and the haunting image of a sperm cell fertilising the club's badge.
Juan Mata is is only 23. Captain of Valencia, a Spanish International and by all accounts headed
for Arsenal....
Well that was before AVB decided that Mata would be perfect for Chelsea. It seems (according to the
Guardian) that Chelsea are now in pole position to make a move for the Spaniard and would pip
Arsenal and Spurs to his signature.
UEFA has announced that a total of €754.1m was distributed to clubs participating in the

amounts.
The €754.1m prize money allotted to the 32 teams who figured from the group stage onwards
consisted of €413m in fixed amounts plus €341,100,000 from the market pool.
