Next season's Argentines Abroad (on which note, the HEGS / MA Award winner will be announced on
Thursday) are swelling their ranks in the annual exodus from the banks of the Paraná and RÃo de
la Plata (the rivers of Babyl... I'll stop, shall I? OK). Rodrigo Palacio is finally leaving La

The weekend's clásico in the Nuevo Gasómetro was one, like last week's super, in which a certain

equaliser from the jaws of [.

The AFA's incompetence in organising a playoff system that might have either rendered the final
match meaningless, or ensured that one team would go into it without any motivation to win,

On the day the US Federal Reserve announced an astonishing rate cut, things at the other end of the
Americas also begin to look a bit less interesting. San Lorenzo met Tigre in the first match of the
title-deciding triangular, and it was the Cuervo who came out on top, meaning that if they beat

The Argentine title race is closer than it's ever been. Two years ago, Boca Juniors lost their last
two matches to set up a playoff - the first ever - against Estudiantes which the La Plata side won.
On Sunday this weekend, Boca drew away to Gimnasia La Plata, at the same time as Tigre [...]

After most of the Tuesday evening matches were finished, San Lorenzo are leading the way at the top
of Primera A. In spite of playing poorly in El Sur, they were leading 2-0 at half time
thanks to strikes from Néstor Silvera (pictured) and Pablo Barrientos, but saw the lead pegged
back early in the second half [.

No, still not Santiago. This is a quick correction to the story I posted a couple of hours ago
(below). Despite Olé's reporting, the Solari brother who Olimpo are claiming to have signed is not
youngest brother David, but in fact middle brother Esteban, who doesn't play in the lower divisions
in Italy but, rather [.

Well, it pays to have an attention-grabbing headline. No, the Internazionale striker hasn't decided
to pack in his Italian career in order to help the Aurinegro out with their relegation battle.
But his little brother, the generous soul, has done exactly that. David Solari becomes Olimpo's
first summer reinforcement.
