Liverpool's management had seen and heard enough. Kenny Dalglish's head in the sand post match
interview coming on the heels of Luis Suarez's dastardly snub of Patrice Evra's handshake were
considered damaging enough for their MD, Ian Ayre, to come out condemning their striker.
In particular, Suarez's promise to shake hands with Evra made earlier in the week and then
reneging caused much anger.
C'mon 'Arry break out in a smile now!
Harry Redknapp's been found to be as clean as a whistle. The three week trial which took place
at Southwark crown courts came to an end as both Redknapp and his former Pompey boss, Milan
Mandaric were cleared of tax evasion charges with the prosecution building their case around the
Peter Crouch sale which involved two transfer amounts totaling £189,000.
Mmm ....... Roland Martin seems quite comfortable in his ascot. Too comfortable.
Roland Martin, CNN's most vocal homophobic bigot gets all frothy and excited over the David
Beckham undie ad that aired on Super Bowl. With friends like these, does Obama need any
enemies?
He probably thought seeing the ad would turn half of America's menfolk gay.
Fabio Capello showing what he thinks of the FA's decision to nix Terry's captaincy
The FA and Fabio Capello are increasingly at odds with each other over John Terry's captaincy.
The Italian was vocal in his support of the Chelsea defender using the cover of the deferred legal
case as a presumption of innocence till proven guilty.
Joey Barton's reaction to the FA's handling of the John Terry racial abuse case
A series of Tweets from Joey Barton on the John Terry racial abuse saga has England's Attorney
General breathing hard down his neck. Barton's tweets summed up:
"This John Terry saga, has turned into one of the most hideously managed spectacles I have
ever known.
Anton, or is that your name? Now, touch my skin. Worship it.
One should ask the FA why they did such a thorough job investigating Luis Suarez's racial abuse
of Patrice Evra and then drop the ball on John Terry doing the same against Anton Ferdinand? Suarez
gets an eight match ban, while Terry gets rewarded with a deferment of his trial till after the
2012 Euro is over and retains his captaincy of the Three Lions to boot.
Since its founding in 1907, Al Ahly S.C. has been known as ‘the people's club,' representing
resistance against the many forms of colonialism that have long plagued the African continent.
Initially the first sporting club to allow Egyptians to join, Al Ahly remains the most popular of
Egyptian teams, wearing to this day the red kits that honour the pre-colonial Egyptian flag.
Egyptian soccer is in chaos, mirroring what that country is going through. The Egyptian prime
minister dissolved the Egyptian Football Federation, Port Said's governor and police chief were
sacked, and the Muslim Brotherhood launched a scathing attack on the Interior ministry, deeming it
responsible for the violent Port Said clashes that left 74 dead and scores injured.
At least 74 soccer fans died as deadly riots broke out in Port Said after a soccer match between
Al Masry and visiting Al Ahly. Fans from Al Masry invaded the pitch after their team beat Al Ahly,
3-1 and clashed with their rivals. Most of the deaths were attributed to the ensuing stampede as
supporters desperately tried to make for the exits.

What does it take for any other player other than RVP to score goals? It is now official, he's
not pretending any more - Theo Walcott has a mind made of mush in front of goal. Always. Aaron
Ramsey is another. The Ox too for all his brightness was presented with a clear chance.
Dan Borislaw hijacking the magic out of women's professional soccer
What a blow to women's soccer after that magnificent exposition by the US national team at the
CONCACAF Olympics qualifiers. The WPS has decided to cancel the 2012 season after running into a
retaliatory lawsuit bought by the former owner of the magicJack, Dan Borislow.
Real dissension in the ranks?
The Real Madrid fans are in a barracking mood, just like the fans giving stick to Arsene Wenger.
The Barca game blew up in their face because Mou decided to stick 11 men behind the ball and with
the exception of an 11th minute of enterprise, played like he was afraid to lose which is exactly
what happened.
Rosie gets an offshore bank account. What's in it for Buster?
Harry Redknapp maintained an bank account in Monaco into which Portsmouth's then owner, Milan
Mandaric kept sending him secret payments or "bungs" to the tune of £187,000 as commissions from
transfers. This was in lieu of bonuses promised to Redknapp when he was at Portsmouth, as director
of football, and then manager.

Jose Mourinho's intentions were perfectly telegraphed as he consigned Mesut Oezil and Esteban
Granero to anonymity. He started three holding midfielders with Lassana Diarra, Xabi Alonso, and
Pepe in a deliberate park the bus tactics. The last mentioned was relocated to midfield from his
usual centre back position with Sergio Ramos partnering Ricardo Carvalho.
Inter has tabled a £20.7m bid for the serial wantaway but Claudio Ranieri's statements show he
remains unconvinced of Tevez's value to the team.
"There is balance now and the team has become solid. So we need to understand how much this
lad can give and how much he can take away.

Edin Dzeko sighting once again. This time he flew high over the Wigan defense to head the ball
home of a David Silva free kick. The 1-0 win established a three point lead over Utd at the top of
the table.
Roberto Mancini reignited his feud with Wayne Rooney as he brandished an imaginary red card
against Maynor Figueroa for a handball.
Indians will see Roberto Pires in action next month
Instant cricket, the 20/20 version has found a home in India's Premier league, one of the
world's most lucrative sporting brands, till corruption eroded its worth. The success of the IPL is
inspiring a new soccer league in India which will see the likes of Roberto Pires, Fabio Cannavaro,
Juan Pablo Sorin, and others participating in a soccer competition styled on the IPL format.
Jim Harbaugh and Sean Payton: The NFL's young brigade are animating the sport
Watching the San Francisco 49ers and New Orlean Saints putting together one of the NFL's
classics last night, one was struck by the relative youth of the two opposing head coaches,
patrolling the sidelines as an armada of assistant coaches and players milled around behind
them.

Have at the 20 minutes highlights before it is taken down. Stefan Savic brings down Daniel Agger
and Steven Gerrard converts the PK in the 12th minute. Liverpool were much the better team for
large parts of the match in the first half. In the second they played good hard defensive ball to
deny City at the Etihad.
The Bedfordshire regiment play soccer with the Germans, Christmas Day 1914
Truth is stranger than fiction. Liverpool are to host Man Utd in the FA Cup 4th round at the end
of the month in a potentially explosive match that could see many sources of conflagration from
fans, players, and even the managers all centered around the Luis Suarez vs Patrice Evra racism
row.
David Beckham's MLS fans will be delighted by the news that he will not leave for PSG. They have
many more years to look forward to new tattoos being added to his various body parts and then
orifices. Oh! yes, and a few sublime deliveries. Forgot about that.
Kenny Dalglish buries his head in the sand defending Luis Suarez and his racist diatribe using a
twisted form of cultural equivalence. Through his press conference Dalglish never once said that
racism is unacceptable despite the comprehensive report compiled by the FA. That was mildly put,
quite shocking.
szólj hozzá: Fulham vs Arsenal 2:1 MOTD
Depressing. Very depressing. As bright and incandescent as Arsenal were the first half, the
second half was an absolute blight. The Gunners looked drained, bereft of ideas, and they let
Fulham walk all over them. It was an reversion to many a game last season where Arsenal showed
distinctly no ambition other than to run out 90 minutes.
Racism reared its ugly head
An exhaustive and extraordinary 115 page dossier compiled by the FA's independent commission
investigating the Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez flashpoint details the racial abuse the Uruguayan
striker heaped on the Man Utd defender back in October. The excerpts make for ugly reading.
" But I was watching the television at that moment, and I was gobsmacked."
Andre Villas Boas showing flashes of Jose Mourinho channeling that man's legendary persecution
complex. It was getting entirely too sedate at the top. Where are the legendary spats witnessed
between Rafa Benitez and Sir Alex?
How is it that the global game, the people's game followed by billions is ruled by a fraction of
a fraction of an elite that plays by its own rules? The plutocracy have no need to be beholden.
They enjoy no term limits, need no financial disclosures, and bilk billions of tax free dollars

This picture, taken on the Brooklyn Bridge on November 17th by Mother Jones reporter
Josh Harkinson, is one of thousands of images generated by the Occupy Wall Street movement. The

And were will it take us?
In reading Ivan Gazidis's recent statements after appearing on a panel at the Leaders in
Football conference, one left with the distinct impression that the perpetuation of Arsenal's self
sustaining model was of primary concern, not its football. That and the idealization of the
financial fair play rules as some sort of magic bullet.
The bad news just keeps piling up. Bacary Sagna who had to be stretchered off after his ankle
crumpled following a collision with Benoit Assou-Ekotto has been ruled out for three months with a
broken fibula of the right leg. This injury further decimates the already decimated back line.
19 year old Carl Jenkinson will see lots of playing time.
The mustache finally speaks
The virtual owner of Arsenal is at long last wheeled out and gets caught up on the summer and
the past three years. But if you were looking for nuggets (a ghastly pun on the NBA team of which
he's an owner) of insight you would be sorely disappointed. For an owner of so many sports teams,
Stan Kroenke is just a depressing, clueless figurehead.

Soka Afrika is probably the first documentary that really tackles the problem of trafficking of
young footballers from Africa to the European leagues through the story of two aspiring footballers

Juan Mata's homecoming did not go as planned. He received a yellow card for his efforts right at
the end for some argy bargy with the referee. Chelsea were better for most part of the match and

out.
Carlos Tevez's new home
The dust has barely settled but Carlos Tevez is already getting offers. This one from Limavady
United in the second division of the Northern Ireland league.
The raison d'etre for this one goes something like this, " We are sure you will appreciate our
efforts to keep Tevez from getting fat prior to his sale.
The people's player is getting a bit of a earful back home. Pablo Ramon for Ole:
" At Man Utd, Carlos Tevez enjoyed an idolatry that fell apart when the two parted company.
Now he is ending in the other half of the city by ruining his reputation."
" What Tevez seems to forget, to rebel is one thing, to confuse rights with obligations is
yet another.
It's looking a bit like a video game where you score points for bad behaviour
Tell me whose jaw did not drop seeing Roberto Mancini sub Edin Dzeko with Nigel De Jong
