Guys, I'm going to leave this up for the next couple of weeks so that you can check out all the action at your leisure! FC Barcelona vs New York Red Bulls Tonight

Barcelona are wrapping up their tour of Chicago and New York tonight against the New York Red Bulls. Kick off is at 7:00PM and for those of us who don't splurge on deep cable coverage, the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2!

It should be a lot of fun, and in spite of Lionel Messi's absence from the team, we'll get to see some of Barcelona's finest, including future Red Bull Thierry Henry (ok ok, I'm just kidding, sort of). Click to continue reading...

Live Matches of the Day

1
I'm going to try this out for a few days. Basically, I have yet to get in the habit of checking the nets in the morning for all of the live football on tap for the day. I figure a post like this will force me in to it - although the formatting is a bit of a headache. At any rate, here are most of the live matches that are taking place during my waking hours. MLS All Star Game: Teams 1 - ESPN 0

2
I have to admit that this was the first MLS All Star Game that I have ever watched. After finally getting back into MLS after 8 or so years I was really excited about seeing everyone play. Even though none of my DC United players made the squad (I have to admit that only Emilio was qualified to play) I knew it was going to be a great game. Click to continue reading...

2008 SuperLiga Television Coverage

0
For those trying to catch 2008 SuperLiga matches on live television in the US, they're only on Telefutura - which incidentally is a great way to beef up on your Spanish. However if you're like me and your cable tv company doesn't carry Telefutura, all is not lost as Plan B is not too shabby.

I was able to tune in to the online MLS feed the night before last and I've got to say the picture and sound quality coming across the computer was pretty darn good. Click to continue reading...

American Televisions Tuning in to Soccer

2
3.8 million Americans tuned in to ABC to watch the network's first ever U.S. broadcast of a European Championship final. And as we know, they were treated to a great match of attacking, honest football.

Of course 3.8 is a fraction of the number who tune in to watch the NFL's championship game, the Superbowl. Click to continue reading...
