On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, DCTC will face the Iowa Western Community College Reivers on the
championship field of the brand-new Ames Soccer Complex, which was built through a partnership
between DCTC and the city of Rosemount with in-kind service from Ames Construction.

LA Galaxy legend Cobi Jones, Fox Sports en Español and HOLA will host an exciting soccer clinic
in Los Angeles, aimed at empowering inner-city youth to advance their lives by improving their
grades and preparing for college. Forty young people from the Rampart District will get the chance
to attend a soccer clinic hosted by Cobi Jones and get pointers to enhance their soccer skills.

On Wednesday of this week I am flying to Oceanside, California to be a special guest at the
Southern California Beach Soccer Championships! One of the people behind this great event is Gino
Rossi. He and I met via Twitter (follow him @BeachSoccer) a few months ago and got to talking
soccer and next thing you know I am on my way to California for the 2nd largest beach soccer event
in the country!

American soccer lost a good man when Doug Hamilton passed away in 2006, due to heart complications
at the age of 43. He had accomplished quite a bit as a player, coach and executive, and is still
remembered today.
The third annual Doug Hamilton Memorial Soccer Classic will be played at Raritan High School in
Hamilton's hometown of Hazlet, N.

April 23rd, the Wizards will be playing New York on ESPN2. There will be a pre-game flyover by a
B-2 Stealth bomber. There is also a giveaway, the first 5,000 fans or so will receive their very
own "Little Jimmy" (Jimmy Conrad bobblehead doll). On Wednesday, several Wizards players, coaches
and staff traveled to Whiteman Air Force Base to get a close up look at a B-2 and conduct a soccer
clinic
