Speaking to Fox Sports Latin America, Carlos Tevez has today revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson is
the best manager he has played for, as well as former Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa.
"I know Ferguson really doesn't want to lose this title race," said Tevez. "I think
Ferguson and Bielsa are the best managers.

The fallout and reaction from Luis Suarez' handshake snub of Patrice Evra continues a couple of
days after the latest incident between the Liverpool striker and Manchester United fullback.
Suarez issued a brief written apology for not shaking Patrice Evra's hand prior to Liverpool's
loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, but lingering tensions between the two camps
makes it unlikely that the situation is anything close to being put in the past.
The fuss about handshakes is all the rage at the moment, after the FA cancelled the pre-match
handshake between Chelsea and QPR following rumours that Anton Ferdinand's teammates would all be
willing the snub John Terry's hand.
Last weekend we had more fuss, with speculation then suggesting that Rio Ferdinand wouldn't
shake Terry's hand in support of his brother.
While most of the soccer world were talking and cascading about Liverpool striker Luis Suarez's
snub to Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in a season marred by racism not only in the EPL
but across Europe, there was something magical about to happen in Gabon as rank
outsiders Zambia took on the might of Ivory Coast in the African Nations Cup final.
Liverpool's management had seen and heard enough. Kenny Dalglish's head in the sand post match
interview coming on the heels of Luis Suarez's dastardly snub of Patrice Evra's handshake were
considered damaging enough for their MD, Ian Ayre, to come out condemning their striker.
In particular, Suarez's promise to shake hands with Evra made earlier in the week and then
reneging caused much anger.
United 2: Rooney 47′ 49′Liverpool 1: Suarez 80′
United get a deserved victory on the strength of a Wayne Rooney brace, taking advantage of a
lifeless performance in the second half from a Liverpool side that were wholly disappointing. Given
the occasion and atmosphere you'd have expected Liverpool to at least show up, but on the day they
lacked any sense of urgency, purpose or desire.
French publication L'Equipe named its 2011 Team of the Year recently, and as you might expect,
Barcelona dominated the selections with six players on the team.
LIonel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo headline the squad, which includes a total of eight players
from La Liga and two players from the English Premier League.
Partizan Belgrade starlet Lazar Markovic has delivered a snub to Liverpool by revealing his
‘dream' move would be to their Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The 17-year-old striker is being followed by a host of clubs across the world, and is largely
recognised as one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe.
Liverpool are set to rival La Liga outfit Sevilla in the hunt for FC Twente sensation Ola John,
after stepping up their scouting of the Dutch Under-21 international.
John has emerged as one of the Eredivisie's rising stars after a whirlwind 18 months which has seen
him make his first-team debut and snub moves to both Manchester United and Arsenal.

The big man in the middle has quietly become a star for the Los Angeles Galaxy, but there's one
more thing for standout centerback Omar Gonzalez to achieve this season to go with his Defender of
the Year and Best XI honors.
He needs to win the MLS Cup.

Surely Manchester City's Micah Richards deserved his place in the latest England squad? The
defender has been in superb form for the Citizens, already chalking up five assists in City's
almost flawless league campaign so far.

It happens every time the U.S. national team releases a roster for a friendly or meaningful
game. Fans and pundits clamor that a certain player or certain players who didn't make the cut
deserved the call-up.
Thursday's roster release for the November friendlies against France and Slovenia was
accompanied with a similar reaction.
Manchester United legend Lou Macari believes that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish should have been
brought back to Anfield 'long before last season'.
Macari, who played against Dalgligh many times during his playing career at Old Trafford (and
scored the winning goal for Man United against Liverpool in the 1977 FA Cup final) noted:
"I grew up with Kenny at Celtic in the late 1960s onwards, and have kept in touch ever since.

In his previous spell at Anfield, Craig Bellamy lasted only a year before leaving the club for West
Ham. It was an abrupt departure, and a little surprising considering his (overall) good form. Now,
the Wales International has provided some insight into his midset at the time, and possibly
revealed one of the reasons why he decided to leave.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has told boss Kenny Dalglish that he does not want a rest - despite
only having a week off during pre-season.
Having starred in Uruguay's run to the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup, Suarez was a regular for
both Liverpool and former club Ajax last season. He went on to fire his country to the Copa America
title in July - being named Player of the Tournament in the process - to complete a hectic 12
months.
Perhaps best left in the hands of pop culture or professional music critics rather than some
stodgy old football blog, it still bears mentioning that today would have been Farrokh Bulsara's
65th birthday. Or course, we knew him better as Freddie Mercury, the original front man for Queen,
who died from complications due to HIV/AIDS in 1991.

Well, I am not much of a transfer speculation/discussion guy but today's game and a highly
unrealistic transfer rumour about a Nasri-Tevez swap got me thinking.
First, let me just mention why I don't see any sense in the swap deal with Tevez. The
Argentinean is a world-class player but I don't see him fitting into the Arsenal style.

Those who know my writing know that I have an affinity for DC United and have followed the team,

because this has shaped up to be an intriguing season for a number of reasons.

After missing out on a place on the bench for the European Cup final, despite being the league's

were lots of disappointed players that day, none of them would have been as shocked as Berba was to
learn he was missing from the squad.
Clichy Reveals Liverpool Snub
Man City new boy Gael Clichy has revealed the reason behind his move to the newly rebranded

Swansea City will make their English Premier League debut in August 2011 and in the process
becoming the first Welsh club to reach the league. While it's not the first time a Welsh club has
played in the top tier of English football it represents an extraordinary rise from the ashes for
the Swans and, no less importantly, a snub to bitter Welsh rivals Cardiff City.

Birmingham's acting chairman Peter Pannu is not a happy bunny, and for good reason.
As you may be aware, Brum manager Alex McLeish resigned in time-honoured fashion by email
yesterday with one eye on the Aston Villa vacancy.
Pannu and his cronies on the City board are feeling understandably jilted after having recently
tied up deals for three new players that were sounded out by Big Eck himself, who chose to do a
e-runner while negotiations for a fourth new face (Danny Koevermans from PSV) were ongoing.
The newspapers were always going to produce stories linking Dimitar Berbatov with a move back to
Spurs after the Bulgarian was left out of Manchester United's squad on Saturday for the Champions
League final with Barcelona.
One can only imagine his reaction at the news that he wasn't even worthy of a place on the
bench, but it's possible that the player could see it as a final insult, after a period out of the
team cost him a chance of winning the Golden Boot outright.
