One player sure to be high on everybody's list, Zat Knight that is
A few players have hithered and thithered about since the turn of the year but, after a fairly
dormant month on the transfer front and with only 385,589 precious seconds left until the January
window SLAMS SHUT is closed carefully and contentiously by the relevant
personnel, we impatient fools at Pies reckon it's high time to start making big things happen in
our minds.

We have a mouth watering prospect of a game on Saturday night as Inter Milan take on Napoli at the

The Serie A has been dominated by the two main Milanese clubs for a bit more than half a decade.
While they have had some testing competition by the likes of Roma and Juventus, the past ten years
have seen AC Milan or Inter Milan win the scudetto seven times.
Gasperini aveva una sola richiesta ed era un consiglio per tutti coloro che criticavano le sue
scelte tattiche, essenzialmente la difesa a tre e la partenza dai box di Sneijder: più o meno le
sue parole facevano così "prima osservate, poi criticate". E adesso si può davvero criticare, o
comunque analizzare seriamente questa dubbia difesa, [.

That facial expression on Wesley Sneijder screams :"What?! Another question
about Man United...?" Get over it, Inter needs him more than any other club at this moment to
provide support to Diego Forlan, of course! Yes, in case you were watering your

Atletico Madrid to Inter.

Just look at him, the dirty flirt!
Wes Sneijder has been busy this morning, cork-screwing his metaphorical dagger into the hearts
of thousands of Manchester United fans across the globe by regaling Dutch daily AD with tales of
just how close he came to turning up at Old Trafford over the summer:
"I just felt that it was close, yes [I thought I was going to join Manchester United].

Daily Mail-esque rant
Andre Villas-Boas' Chelsea revolution doesn't stop with a long list of transfer targets and a
possible move away from 4-3-3. Ashley Cole, reportedly a 20-a-day smoker, has been told that his
habit will no longer be indulged as it was by AVB's predecessor, the fag-loving Carlo
Ancelotti.
The summer transfer window will soon be slammed shut. Rumours will escalate in the next two weeks
but as usual, very few will have genuine substance so they should be taken with a large grain

The Premier League kicks off tomorrow and while many of you must be wondering
"Soooo?", here are some fun stats for your perusal. In transfer news, did you know
Fabregas was the most tweeted player during the season break? Sneijder
and Tevez came in second and third respectively while seemingly (everyone) well, 165,000
of them, spent the last season looking for Ryan Giggs' shirt.
Can we convince the Government that inane transfer speculation during what is laughably called
the off-season (no competitive football being played, but let's not stop that from having football
on about 2/3 of the sports pages in June & July), please? Maybe make it so we can make new signings
first seen on August 10th or something?

According to several tabloids and not so tabloids, the Inter midfielder might be on his way to
Old Trafford in the next 48 hours. The rumours have been aided and abetted by Sneijder who in an
interview admitted he was interested in joining Utd but also said that there was no official
contact between both clubs.

It's been a time to reflect for all of us fans on the previous season, on Carlo leaving, on the
constant speculation regarding who the manager was going to be, the names we have been linked with

same players we've linked to all summer so far.
