Lack Of Playing Time Upsets Rocha

1
Andre Rocha was just beginning to find his place in the FC Dallas midfield. On loan from FCD's partner club Atletico Paranaense, Rocha had stepped up and notched six assists on the season, leading the team in that category.

Then FC Dallas made a coaching switch.

Schellas Hyndman took over for Steve Morrow in late May, and since then the Brazilian playmaker has found himself on the field less and less, with the lack of playing time starting to get to Rocha. Click to continue reading...

Bye Bye Bruno; Rapids Screwed by The Crew

10
He didn't come, he didn't see and he certainly didn't conquer. The Colorado Rapids today traded college midfielder, Bruno Guarda, to FC Dallas. In return, they received multiple draft picks and an undisclosed allocation. The Rapids picked up Guarda in the MLS lottery last week and the much vaunted SMU star immediately became the subject of many approaches from other teams. Click to continue reading...

Rapids Win Guarda Lottery

8
I meant to post this earlier as it came down late last night to me. But the Colorado Rapids are the lucky winners in the Bruno Guarda lottery. No word yet on if FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman will be willing to pull the plug on a deal to land his former SMU-star. Fernando Clavijo [...] Click to continue reading...

Guarda Headed For MLS Lottery

7
Ah yes, the lovely lottery is back. If you haven't heard by now as it was reported yesterday by The Star-Telegram, Bruno Guarda has turned pro and has signed with MLS, passing up his senior year at SMU. This all means the lovely weighted lottery is back for another season. In years past we have [... Click to continue reading...

Bruno Guarda Joining MLS...Late...

16
Bruno Guarda has decided to forgo his senior season at SMU and join MLS, in late July. He's been on my watch list since a solid freshman year earned him 2nd team All-Freshman honors in 2005. For the past two seasons he has been a semi-finalist for the Herman Trophy at the end of the fall seasons. He was on my short list for Generation Adidas. Click to continue reading...

Bruno Guarda Lottery

2
He's the latest player to be the subject of the dreaded weighted lottery. Played for SMU under Schellas Hyndman, so I'm sure if Dallas wins there will be a lot of complaining. I don't really know anything about him, but Buzz at 3rddegree.net apparently thinks that he would've been a first rounder in this year's draft. Click to continue reading...

Dynamo 1, FC Dallas 1: A Supporter's View

1

Schellas Hyndman's transition to MLS reached a milestone on Thursday as the long-time SMU coach earned his first point in charge of FC Dallas. The Hoops showed far more energy and promise than they did against the Red Bulls a week earlier, and the result also helped the club walk away with the prize awarded to the winner of this Texas season series.

FC Dallas introduces Hyndman as head coach

1

FC Dallas officially introduced Schellas Hyndman as the fifth head coach in the club's history on Tuesday. With the decision made, and Hyndman on board, it is time to start thinking about the decision the club just made.

Can a coach who has spent two decades coaching college really make the adjustment to MLS?

FC Dallas hires Hyndman as coach

2
After years of talk, SMU's Schellas Hyndman is the new coach of FC Dallas. Hyndman is the fifth coach for the Dallas franchise and was the college coach of FCD owner Clark Hunt. Hyndman had 24 solid years at SMU, however he never reached the NCAA soccer finals.

This move comes at a time when FCD is playing below their talent level. Click to continue reading...

First Third

2
The first third of the season is over now that everyone has played ten games, and then some, I have been busy at work and stuff.

Biggest surprise of the season, the Eastern Conference, the first place western conference team would only be in fifth place in the East. Team wise it has to be DC United at 3-7 DC has not lived upped to the hype and tradition that is DC United. Click to continue reading...

Next Dallas Coach won’t be a TD

4
We had reported and discussed how the next coach of FC Dallas would be both the head coach and the club's technical director. It appears that won't be the case...meaning say SMU coach Schellas Hyndman is indeed hired next week by FC Dallas, he won't be the club's technical director. That coming from Tobias Lopez [. FC Dallas interviews SMU's Hyndman for coaching job

3
What would a FC Dallas search for a new coach be without Schellas Hyndman? Hyndman has coached SMU's men's soccer team since 1984 and is highly respected in the Dallas area as well as college soccer, thus the reason FCD always look his way when the top job is vacant.

He was previously linked to club after the Jeffries dismissal (2003) and the Clarke toss (2006), so is the third time the charm? Click to continue reading...
