The United States Under-17 team got off to a fast start in their FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign with an impressive 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic Sunday night in Torreon, Mexico.

Goals from midfielders Alejandro Guido, Esteban Rodriguez and forward Alfred Koroma were the difference as the Americans opened group play with a win for the first time since 2005.

The Portland Timbers sponsored their second annual Bowl For A Goal on June 17 at Grand Central Bowl. Benefiting Big Brothers, Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, the event gave fans the chance to bowl with a Timbers player and also bid on some one of a kind Timbers gear. It also gave them the opportunity to interact with the players in a casual, fun environment and judging by the smiles all around, the charities weren't the only things that won this night.

U.S. MNT captain Carlos Bocanegra took in the U-20 MNT game last night in France. Unfortunately, the U-20s ended their brief training camp with a loss, but Dillon Powers and Sacit Hot were still all smiles when introduced to Carlos after the game.
