After watching Fernando Torres' performance yesterday for Chelsea I thought to myself "He's had a
good game today". Then I saw the report of Ex-Liverpool Phil Thompson on Skysports "Soccer
Saturday" and couldn't believe what I was reading!. Thompson is quoted soon after the game
saying:
"He's not anywhere near.
Real Madrid goalkeeper, Iker Casillas will actually have a street in his home

Former Arsenal and England attacking midfielder Paul Merson (43) was arrested on suspicion of
drink driving yesterday after crashing his Mercedes into the back of a 40 ton truck at 3.30am.
Merson who admitted cocaine abuse in 1994 while playing for England and Arsenal, has had a
serious of addiction problems from Drugs, Alcohol and gambling and it seems the likable SkySports
pundit has fallen off the wagon again, let's hope he can back back to the Paul Merson so many of us
love with his great sense of humour and constant piss taken.

Reds Chase Ivorian Starlet
Stade d'Abidjan's President has announced that the Reds are interested in bringing teenage
prodigy Angban Bekanty Victorien to Merseyside. The 16-year old is said to have dazzled onlooking
scouts during the Under-17 World Cup as Ivory Coast reached the last-16 before being knocked out by
France.
The president of Stade d'Abidjan has confirmed Liverpool is interested in teenage striker Angban
Bekanty Victorien.
The 16-year-old Ivory Coast prodigy was a sensation in the Under-17 World Cup alongside Coulibaly
Souleymane and Diarrassouba Drissa, who is reportedly set for a trial with Stoke City.
Liverpool has joined Swansea and Fulham in the race to sign Mariano Pavone with the striker's move
to Blackburn on the verge of collapsing, SkySports has reported.
The Argentine has already agreed a three-year contract with Rovers but the Lancashire club are
currently struggling to finalize the deal.
Rennes has confirmed they have completed the signing of Chris Mavinga from Liverpool on a four-year
deal.
Skysports.com reported earlier on Tuesday that Mavinga was expected to undergo a medical and join
Rennes this week.
And the French club has announced they have secured the services of the 20-year-old left-back.

skysports.com understands.
However, the Reds' late efforts look set to be in vain as the 20-year-old is believed to be fully

Italian giants, Internazionale also known as Inter Milan, are tracking featured player Nicklas
Bendtner. According to SkySports, Inter are keeping a close eye on the situation with NB and could
bid for the Danish forward. Other clubs have been linked with Bendtner in the past few weeks such
names as Juventus, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Hamburg, Aston Villa and Besiktas.
Liverpool legend John Barnes has urged Anfield's owners to provide manager Kenny Dalglish with the
money needed to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.
Up until Christmas, the Reds looked as though they would be condemned to a season of mid-table
mediocrity, until the January arrival of Dalglish, but under his stewardship, Liverpool recovered
well to earn a sixth-placed finish.
Skysports.com understands a host of English clubs are tracking Auxerre midfielder Delvin
Ndinga.
Ndinga has impressed at Auxerre in the last couple of seasons after being snapped up from Congolese
side Diables Noires.
The 23-year-old caught the eye during Auxerre's Champions League campaign this season and he is
establishing himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe.
What's one to do until the highly anticipated Champions League final between Barcelona and
Manchester United (Saturday May 28 btw)? All the big European league winners have been virtually
decided over the past couple weekends, and in each case there's been little drama the champions
have each been atop their respective tables for some time.
Carlo Ancelotti is featured on this article on Skysports and it got me thinking. The reason it had
me thinking was because, and I had forgotton about this, Carlo compared Chelsea meeting United a
few years after that horrible night in Moscow to his Milan side that lost dramatically against
Liverpool in the final but put the ghosts to bed by overcoming them two years later.
Valencia will do everything in their power to keep hold of Juan Mata this summer as Liverpool and
Manchester City reportedly chase the winger.
Having been forced to cash-in on David Villa and David Silva last summer, Los Che are reluctant to
lose another of their star turns when the transfer window reopens, despite reports in Spain
suggesting Mata is gathering interest from England.
Rumours are rife at the moment as they have been for the past few months about Carlo Ancelotti and
his future at the club. After a disappointing season and FA Cup elimination on Saturday the press
have moved into overdrive once again and many state that Roman Abramovich could replace Ancelotti.
English commercial radio station talkSport have brought a great coup, after
signing former SkySports TV presenters Richard Keys and Andy Gray.
Gray was sacked by SkySports after a major sexism scandal hit the headlines recently, while Keys
who was also involved in the row refused to continue at the station without his partner in
crime.
Hibernian have completed the signing of Icelandic youngster Victor Palsson on an 18-month contract
from Liverpool.
Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that the 19-year-old midfielder was set to join Hibs after
failing to make the breakthrough at Liverpool.
He made three appearances on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge back in November and Palsson is looking
forward to his opportunity at Easter Road.
Sky Sports News sources understand that Liverpool forward Milan Jovanovic has turned down a move to
Wolfsburg.
The Serbian has failed to make an impact at Anfield since arriving from Standard Liege on a free
transfer at the beginning of the season and the Premier League club are prepared to sell.
This is a video clip with presenter Charlotte Jackson.
Andy Gray makes a lewd remark to Jackson which critics will see as sexist and supporters will
consider harmless banter. But there is no mistake he crossed the line with Sian Massey simply
because of her gender as the clip below shows.
Andy Gray has officially been released from his contract at SkySports it has
been revealed today. This follows the sexist comment incident that took place at the weekend, for
which Gray received a warning.
But, in the days since, an incident that took place in December has caused the English company
to part ways with the controversial soccer pundit.

That is the email address SkySports offers if you want to contact football expert Andy Gray. And
you should.
I know I am prone to the odd rant or two on PSP, but I try to steer clear of giving advice. Not
this time.
Tell Gray what you think of the comments he made about Sian Massey, a female linesman working
the Liverpool/Wolverhampton match on Saturday.

understands that Danny Welbeck is set to have an exploratory operation on his troublesome knee

The MLS Supplemental Draft will help teams fill out their reserve team rosters.
Salomon Kalou is featured in an article on SkySports and has revealed his frustrations at his lack
of goals.
He said:
"To be honest with you, every game I play with Chelsea, I come out of it with regret
because I feel like I should have scored another goal. My coach growing up Jean-Marc Guillou always
used to say, 'The most difficult thing is not knowing how to score but knowing how to create
yourself a chance'.

Stoke defender Robert Huth insists he has not received any contact from Liverpool regarding a
possible move to Anfield in the transfer window.
Skysports.com reported earlier on Thursday that the misfiring Reds have made a 'firm enquiry' about
the German centre-back.
Under-pressure Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson and director of football strategy Damien Comolli have
repeatedly been linked with a move for Huth in a bid to strengthen their defence.
