From Saturday, the Bears lost to the new D1 program from the St Louis Metro Eastside.

Well this is what I consider to be good news. The SIU-Edwardsville Cougars have joined the Ohio Valley Conference with their move to Division I. Unfortunately for the soccer and wrestling squads, there is no men's soccer. The Alton Telegraph reports that Athletic Director Brad Hewitt is in talks with the Missouri Valley Conference to participate as an affiliate, as fellow OVC school Eastern Illinois does now.

The Scott Gallagher Soccer Club is excited to announce a special, once in a lifetime event. The U20 Brazilian National Team will be coming to the new Scott Gallagher Training Facility this Saturday night, March 29th to play the Academy All-Stars and SIU-Edwardsville.

The evening will begin at 6:00 when the U20 Brazilian National Team takes on the Academy All-Stars.
