Games come thick and fast at this time of the year and this
evening's match against Fulham follows hot on the heels of Saturday's one nil win at home to
QPR.
Founded in 1879 Fulham Football Club are the oldest professional
team in London.
With Euro 2012 seemingly drawing ever closer, it is still unclear whether or not the English FA
have begun to consider who they would like to see replace current boss Fabio Capello whose contract
expires at the end of the tournament next Summer. Whoever takes the job will have the task of
getting England to the finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
As I am sure you were not surprised to hear, Kieron Dyer is yet again out of action for the
season. However much it is a shame for a man of his talent to have to end his career on such a

four years ago, and even there he was so blighted by injury that his wages (and off field behavior)
were the cause of embarrassment.

Sad and tragic news broke today about the passing of Gary Speed, who took his own life.
Gary Speed had an illustrious career playing for five different clubs and receiving 85 caps for
Wales.
I'll always remember Gary Speed for his unsung hero's role in Sir Bobby Robson's midfield, his
galvanising displays in the Champions League, and those headers against Kiev and PSV.

But it would be difficult to let Ronaldo's retirement (the Ronaldo - very young children,
ask your parents) go unmentioned.
He was quite ugly, he took a funny turn before the World Cup final, he called his son Ronald and he
was the best player Bobby Robson ever worked with.
It's difficult to ignore Andy Carroll this season. Scoring with good regularity for Newcastle,
