Pitchside Report " Ella Masar: No More Silence
This report from a player who went from starter to bench fodder after standing up to the owner
of magicJack is a must read if care even a tiny bit about women's soccer. WPS is not blameless,
they invited that owner into their nest, but the reasons they want him out come clearer every
day.
Henri Lansbury's last game for Arsenal this season was the 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford. He's been
at Arsenal since he was 9-years-old but his worst ever day in football came at the hands of
Manchester United earlier this season.
Two weeks after our demolition of Arsenal, Lansbury signed for West Ham on loan and was quick to
grab their badge when he scored on his debut.

Mirror: Why Liverpool owners' silence during racism row suggests they might not be here
for the long haul
So many questions, so few answers. The Suarez affair or debacle, to apply a more appropriate
description has raised such serious issues, yet few people seem prepared to address them.

Sir Alex Ferguson, the esteemed manager of Manchester United, has broken his silence on the
racism saga engulfing Liverpool Football Club and his own club. The two players involved, Luis
Suarez of Uruguay and Liverpool and Patrice Evra of France and Manchester United, had up until now
also kept a reserved silence, deciding to leave the entire affair in the hands of the British
football regulatory authorities, the FA.

The supposed deadline for WPS to find a sixth owner has come and gone. The 15-day grace period set
by US Soccer passed last Monday with little fanfare or, more notably, outcry. While the silence was
deafening, it appears that no news is good news for women's soccer in this country. At least for
now.
I feel for Chelsea fans who yet again had to endure another loss 2-0 home loss to Liverpool last
night. I mean the first loss although hard to accept was a bit understandable, however, suffering a
similar loss with an identical scoreline to the same team in less than 2 weeks is simply
unacceptable.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has risked punishment from the Football Association by publicly
declaring he wants an apology from Manchester United defender Patrice Evra if he is cleared over
recent racial abuse claims.
Suarez took the unusual step of breaking his silence on the issue by speaking to the media in his
home country about Evra's accusation, despite the governing body stating that no party should yet
comment on the alleged incident.

I decided to make part2 just entertaining, only interesting goals of the magical kid (not sure how

I like more to focus on his old goals, where many of people forgot them or never seen them,

heard the reporter saying, a new skillful Brazilian player scored a great goal.

Doncaster's Billy Sharp showed great strength in playing last night, just two days after his two
day Son died and his 15th minute "Volley from Heaven" was a tribute to his Son.
His revealing of a t-shirt reading "That for you Son" just as emotional as the minutes silence held
before kick-off.

The story of Billy Sharp is all over the British press today, but we feel that this is the kind
of story that all of our readers, regardless of geographical location, should get to hear
about.
Billy scored a goal for Doncaster Rovers last night, after insisting he was ready to play in his
side's 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough despite the death of his two-day-old son Luey Jacob on
Saturday.

My pick for the play of the week is not a goal, it is for Sevilla goal keeper Javi Varas great save
vs. Lionel Messi in the last minute of a 0-0 tie. The save was excellent in technical measures.
But, what made me pick it is the tremendous pressure as it was 0-0 and in Camp Nou .... and it was
against Lionel Messi.
Rio's Twitter silence spoke volumes but does Fergie's squad have what it takes to get
him chirping again?
The enormity of Manchester United's 6-1 derby mauling can be gauged by the fact its impact kept
Rio Ferdinand off his beloved Twitter for two full days.Ferdinand, who boasts more than 1.

Why the silence said it all about Westminster's collusion in heinous Hillsborough
cover-up
It was more an indictment of Westminster's collusion in the most heinous of cover-ups than a
debate. MPs didn't argue, they simply nodded through the just and the inevitable. It took an MP who
had been at Hillsborough as a fan, Steve Rotheram, and one who had been at the other FA Cup
semi-final that day, Andy Burnham, to reduce the House to an embarrassed silence, as they outlined
with passion and eloquence what Burnham called "one of the biggest injustices of the 20th
Century".

After Tottenham's fine victory over Liverpool at the weekend, much of the talk amongst players
and staff has been over the form of Emmanuel Adebayor who has underlined what we all knew during
the barren transfer window of January 2011. A world class striker can transform a side and we all
hope that Ade's goals help to propel the side right up the Premiership table.

Norwich City 0-1 West Bromwich Albion Premier League 11 September 2011
The Baggies racked up their first points of the campaign at Carrow Road, courtesy of an early
strike from Nigerian striker Peter Odemwingie. The forward would go on to miss a penalty in the
second-half, but the visitors held out to seal the victory.
Last season, teams in the bottom half of the league were the collective bane on our lives and
arguably the reason we dropped out of the top 4. We failed to break down the so-called lesser teams
as our competitors could. And so, we arrive at this match rock bottom of the league, with a very
real danger of remaining there after Saturday.
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew finally breaks his silence about the club's failures in the
2012 summer transfer window. Well, it had to happen. Pardew's silence had to break at some point
about the club's inability to recruit a striker in seven months. He begins by stating the obvious:
"With the time scale we had, [.
