The supposed deadline for WPS to find a sixth owner has come and gone. The 15-day grace period set by US Soccer passed last Monday with little fanfare or, more notably, outcry. While the silence was deafening, it appears that no news is good news for women's soccer in this country. At least for now.

I feel for Chelsea fans who yet again had to endure another loss 2-0 home loss to Liverpool last night. I mean the first loss although hard to accept was a bit understandable, however, suffering a similar loss with an identical scoreline to the same team in less than 2 weeks is simply unacceptable.

A minute's silence was held prior to Melbourne Victory's league fixture vs. Perth Glory this weekend, after it was announced that Luca Jones, son of Socceroo's goalkeeper Brad Jones (above), had passed away.
