Imagine a time when Arsenal had a decent back four –
HA.
No, not ‘The Invincibles" – they were a pale shadow of the 1998/99 quartet that
stood as a brick wall. In front of Seaman roamed Adams, Dixon, Keown and Winterburn – together
they allowed a miserly 17 goals, thirteen less than the next best record that season.

THFC1882 is pleased to present another guest writer. This look at Ledley King is from Gareth
Johnson.
Gareth Johnson is a rare breed ... a born and bred Geordie .. and a Spurs supporter! "It has to
be a genetic disorder" says Gareth, who has supported the club for 24 years.
A short while back a Spurs fan on Twitter started a survey to find the ultimate Spurs XI of all
time and this got me wondering what my choices would be.
I will start by giving you a brief insight into my Spurs watching history upon which my selections
will be based. The first game I watched was when I was about 4 (30 years ago now around 1981) and
obviously a great time to start with all the winning cup runs starting to occur.
Shocking stuff to begin with this morning! Paul Merson is on the back of The Sun.
Might I be so bold as to venture that the club were injecting him with his own recycled piss,
such was its combination of nutrients and boozeohol that down the years it had developed into a
kind of elixir?
Not much to report the past couple of days. At least nothing really THAT interesting.
We're linked with Sergio Ramos because he and CRon apparently don't get along. There was
obviously only going to be one winner from that battle. The real question is whether or not Madrid
will let him go or tell the 2 players to suck it up and coexist.
