Another week of Sporting KC Wizards updates. As mentioned yesterday, 8 former players are up for
the US Soccer Hall of Fame. Coming up soon, Stephane Auvray will figure out his new team in India
when the new premier league holds it draft for "lesser known" and Indian players. Also, Neal Kitson
is on the move, joining Northampton Town of the Football League 2.
A day late due to the Comets game last night, but here is this week's former SKC Wizards update. In
news this week, Shavar Thomas has a new team, having signed for the expansion Montreal Impact.

A report from The Bolton News on Friday quotes Wanderers' manager Owen Coyle on Sebastien Le
Toux, "I've had some decent reports on him. He's very industrious, hard working and looks a very
good team player, which is what I'm all about.
The Philadelphia Union select Raymon Gaddis with the 35th overall pick in the 2012 MLS
SuperDraft. This pick was originally acquired from Sporting Kansas City in 2010 in the Shavar
Thomas trade.
Gaddis was considered by some to be the best right back in the draft, even ahead of Aubrey
Perry.
The Philadelphia Union select Greg Jordan with the 32nd overall pick in the 2012 MLS
SuperDraft.
Jordan is a defensive type of midfielder, making him the fourth player on the Union that can
play in a central defensive midfield role (Brian Carroll, Gabriel Gomez and Amobi Okugo, as well).
He is a good passer of the ball and works hard throughout the midfield, a lot like Carroll.
The 2012 MLS SuperDraft starts at 12 pm EST today, with television coverage starting at that
time on ESPN2 (also available through ESPN's web service ESPN3). The Philadelphia Union have two
natural SuperDraft selections, the 13th overall pick (13th in the first round) and the 32nd overall
pick (13th in the second round), plus the 35th overall pick (16th in the second round) from
Sporting Kansas City, received as part of the Shavar Thomas trade in 2010.
The 2012 SuperDraft has been criticized as being a weak draft, but the positions that the
Brotherly Game feels the Philadelphia Union should target have plenty of options from which to
choose. Left back is one of the few positions that this SuperDraft has enough depth to wait until
the second round to take a player, but it also has a few intriguing first round prospects.
More updating of stats for you, here is an updated list of players with over 100 appearances for
Kansas City in league play and in all competitions. Also included in on this list is where the rest
of the current roster stands in terms of appearances.

Davy Arnaud took over the number one spot on the list this season, but with his departure, Michael
Harrington is the only player on the roster to appear in 100 games for KC.
We're about a week and a half away from the MLS Superdraft in Kansas City. It's the first of two
drafts for the league, with a supplemental draft following a week later. KC have their natural 16th
pick in the 1st round of the Superdraft, and then have the 30th selection in the second round. That
selection came from FC Dallas in the trade that sent Kevin Hartman to Dallas.
Another former SKC Wizards Update, plenty of player movement this week. Jonathan Leathers, Rauwshan
McKenzie, and Ryan Pore are now without clubs after not being selected in the second stage of the
re-entry draft. They're joined by Shavar Thomas who also wasn't selected. Also looking for a new
club, is Stephane Auvray whose was let go by the Red Bulls.

The rumors have been around basically since the season ended. The fact that Omar Bravo had only
played 5 minutes in Sporting KC's playoff run certainly did nothing to temper those rumors. In the
offseason Bravo's been linked with every club in Guadalajara, from Chivas to cash strapped Tecos.

Today was the first stage of the MLS Re-Entry draft. Like last year it was a fairly quiet round,
with most teams choosing to pass instead of taking a player at their current salary or at a bona
fide offer. Only 3 players were selected in the draft. Arturo Alvarez was picked up by Chivas USA,
Columbus picked up Carlos Mendes, and New England grabbed Danleigh Borman.

MLS released the list of players that are available for the Re-Entry Draft next week. Up until
Friday team's can still negotiate with their players and potentially reach a deal that would see
the player stay with their current club. So fans of Luke Sassano (sorry I'm not sure Shavar Thomas
has many fans in KC at this point) don't have to get worried quite yet that the midfielder will not
be back.

Some quick bits of news on four Kansas City players from this past season. First, with regards to
the re-entry draft (more on the draft as a whole later). Kansas City has two players that have been
played into the draft, Luke Sassano and Shavar Thomas. Neither one is incredibly surprising. Thomas
was 100% expected after he wasn't waived, the Jamaican international made only 3 substitute
appearances in MLS play this past season.

Sporting KC kicks off their playoff campaign tomorrow night in Colorado against the Rapids in the
first leg of the Eastern Conference semifinals. KC split the season series with the Rapids, drawing
both games 1-1. In the game out in Colorado Conor Casey scored in the 13th minute after a poor back
pass.
Another day of international duty for Sporting KC players today. Four players had national team
duty today, three of them started. The one to not start, didn't even appear for his country, as
Teal Bunbury didn't make the bench again for the United States in their 1-0 loss to Ecuador tonight
in New York.

To go along with Roger Espinoza's call up for Honduras, four more Wizards players have been called
up to represent their respective national teams. Teal Bunbury, Peterson Joseph, Craig Rocastle, and
Shavar Thomas have all been called up to the US, Haiti, Grenada, and Jamaica respectively.
The biggest games of the international break are for Joseph and Rocastle whose national teams have
two World Cup qualifiers.

Shavar Thomas and Jamaica closed out another international break with a loss in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. Jamaica fell to Colombia 2-0 thanks to two second half goals. Thomas started and went 90
minutes as captain for the Jamaican side in the loss at Lockhart Stadium. The Jamaica's are waiting
for the current round of CONCACAF qualifying to finish up before they enter in the next group phase
along with the USA and Mexico, where they are grouped with the US.

It's an international friendly weekend and of the three Sporting KC players with their respective
national teams, two had their games tonight. Defender Shavar Thomas and Jamaica took on Ecuador in
Quito today. Thomas went the full 90 minutes in Jamaica's 5-2 loss on the road where to MLS
players, Omar Cummings and Ryan Johnson got the two goals for the Jamaican team.

Lots of international team news was announced today, and 4 Sporting KC players were affected.
First, Kei Kamara's call up for the Sierra Leone national team was confirmed by the team today,
although I think Kamara tweeting last night that he'd been called up was proof enough that he'd
been called up for their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt at home.

It's been a week and a half since Kansas City last had a league game, but it's back to work
tomorrow when the Wizards host the second expansion team this year, the Portland Timbers. The
Timbers meanwhile are coming in on short rest, having played in Houston on Sunday. The Timbers went
directly from Houston to KC, but will have to replace Lovell Palmer who is suspended due to yellow
card accumulation.
Shavar Thomas and Roger Espinoza both started for their respective national teams today in
friendlies. Thomas and Jamaica were in China to take on the Chinese. Thomas started and played the
full 90 minutes after apparently missing his original flight from Kansas City and only arriving in
the country over night.

The injuries for Sporting Kansas City seem to continue to mount up, with news on two more players
coming out today. First for some good news, the team posted on Twitter today that captain, Davy
Arnaud had returned to training. Combine that with the return of Craig Rocastle to game play
yesterday in the reserve game.

Another international break is coming up this next week, and two Wizards players have been called
up to their respective national teams for the games this week. Roger Espinoza and Shavar Thomas
will be joining their respective national teams for friendlies this next week. Espinoza will be
joining the Honduran national team in Miami for a friendly in Miami against Venezuela.

The silly season is still going on and more news is coming out with regards to Sporting KC players.
While Shavar Thomas was on trial with Portsmouth, and Stephane Auvray looks to be on his way out of
KC, other news is coming out. First is news that Sporting KC's lone Generation Adidas player, Teal
Bunbury, has been attracting interest abroad still.
