Sharks in the water, RBNY.
DC United have just announced the formal resignation of head coach Tom Soehn
from the organization. Soehn accumulated a respectable 36-30-24 MLS record, with a total of
55-48-31 in all competitions. So what cost him? Disappointing results in the face of high
expectations.

So TFC's mlsnet site features an interview with starting keeper Stefan Frei. We learn important
tidbits of information like how Frei doesn't "...like spiders at all. Spiders, snakes and sharks."
Right. Opposing clubs take note. Oh, there's also some stuff in there about how moving away from
home made him homesick.

Chonburi FC have been ordered to play their final home game of the season at a neutral ground after
crowd trouble in the Thai Premier League this week.
Second-placed Chonburi drew 2-2 with relegation strugglers Chula United at Sirindhorn stadium on
Wednesday.
Their fans were furious that referee Chaovalit Sananwai disallowed a goal for off-side, a move that
dented Chonburi's chance of winning the title.

Expect the Kosin to Persib rumours to increase with current first choice keeper Tema out injured
for the start of the season.
To play in the up coming ISL season Thai international Kosin would need to be registered in
Indonesia by 25 September.
With his Thai side Chonburi involved in a neck and neck title race with Muang Thong United that

Here in the U.S., followers of the mighty MLS have a marvelous option that negates the need to
go fishing for illegal internet streams to watch games the league offers an affordable (only $20
for the season), high-quality (up to 800k) stream on their website.
Now, if we scoff and say MLS is small-time, consider that Major League Baseball has an even
better internet broadcasting set-up which has proven to be enormously profitable for the league,
with over 500,000 fans forking out $110 for the season, and even offering streaming to the
iPhone.

£16.4m this season, it is perhaps unsurprising to see why.
The FA Cup is widely considered one of the most captivating competitions in British, if not
world, football. All those that have experienced the competition either as a player or as a fan
will undoubtedly agree that it has a certain intangible magic.

I started the last post with a legendary quote by a coach (Bear Bryant), so why not do the same
here as well. As Jim E. Mora once inquired (word for word): "What's that? Ah - Playoffs?
Don't talk about - ah - Playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can
win another game!

If the residents of central Bangkok were troubled by a bad smell around late afternoon on Saturday,
it must have been the stink created by the first half of this match. It was a shocker!!
Chula are a poor, poor team and, on this occasion, Chonburi were worse. The visitors started
nervously, suggesting that the 5 goal battering they suffered last week had done more than just
damage their goal difference.

Sorry, can't find a better phrase than

baby hammerheads or hombres will not survive to watch

As I have said to my lover on many occasions "Small is beautiful".
It will be interesting to see how these little sardines manage amongst the sharks, whales and
dolphins that hunt in the Premiership.
They might want to think about warming up to this before each match in readiness.

Well, there is not much more that needs to be said about last night that hasn't already been said,
particularly by this man. While Spain were no Brazil 1970, their positive play, technical ability
and creative attacking play were symbolic of the overall approach to the game exhibited by the more
successful teams at Euro 2008.
