It's nice to see the discussion in the comments of Dan's article eventually expanded to include
issues of homophobia and gender. My regular reader knows I've been posting on that stuff quite a
bit this summer and it's nice to see the topic break into the mainstream fan culture, if only for a
minute.

OK. I know a lot of you read that headline and either rolled your eyes, or muttered "dream on,
sister."
I've been involved in a discussion on Big Soccer about Dan Loney's article, "Endless Summer". He
opens with a reference to my post about the Galaxy/Barça game. Some Big Soccer readers have been
baffled by my overtly political (feminist, Marxist) approach to the game (expressed in comments
about Loney's article).

Egypt get a sniff of victory against Italy Gay rights in football have come a long way in 24 hours.
Just yesterday we told you about the homosexual referee who had lost his licence because of his
sexuality. And today we have Egyptian players doing this on the pitch. Q. What had caused this

Following Ronaldo's pink flower in the hair. plenty of people were ready to take the piss.
However, this is possibly the most feminine thing we will ever hear one of our players say.
"I don't know why people are so interested in what I wear on holiday?" said Ronaldo.

Oh look! What a pleasant surprise... Greaseano has once again attracted a
classy lady to his den. Well, to be completely honest, many would find it hard to resist this man's

we're calling "The Nooner" here at TOR Towers.

the right, and note that we may say "hello" to him next year. I honestly have no basis to
speculate, but we're all agreed that Josh's health must come first, and I would rather he retire
permanently than come back in 2009 and put himself at risk for a more permanent injury.
