Says Andre Villas-Boas, who apparently is already under pressure in his role as Chelsea
manager.
True, they face a fight to stay in the Champions League and the premier league odds have drifted to
14/1, but it is still a ludicrous suggestion, but one that is symptomatic of the Abramovich era at
Stamford Bridge.

"I guess I'll to have, I guess I'll have to wait and seeeeee." -- Holy Ghost!, "Wait & See."Kind of
a weird time for the U.S. National Soccer Team, isn't it?We're still about seven months before the
team plays a game that "matters," although back-to-back friendlies with former World Cup champion
France, along with Slovenia -- both on hallowed European soil -- are a nice diversion.
By the end of the first half of the first game of the playoff series against Houston it was
clear that the Philadelphia Union's defense was not adequately familiar with the new formation
deployed by Peter Nowak against the Houston Dynamo at PPL Park. In the second half, the Union
reverted to the tried and tested four man backline that had been so instrumental in seeing the
Union advance to the playoffs in the first place.

In the last six days, the entire country has waited to hear Rooney's international fate and

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew finally breaks his silence about the club's failures in the

With so many self-absorbed, money-grabbing players currently snaking their way through the game,
it's heartening to see that there are still some honest, genuinely loyal players around. Dirk Kuyt,
for example. As a footballer, I've never been his biggest fan, but as his latest comments show,
Kuyt's professionalism, work-ethic and loyalty are - and always have been - beyond reproach.
Kenny Dalglish's last public act on Liverpool's tour of Asia was to engage in some public banter
with Phil Thompson in front of 38,000 fans who had come to see his players engage in a little light
training.
It proved that, however firm their place is in Anfield's pantheon, Thompson and Dalglish have a
