When Eric Cantona of Manchester United did his amazing Kung-fu kick on an obnoxious Crystal Palace
supporter seventeen years ago this month, I was there. By chance I was also an eye-witness
thirty-five years earlier when United's goalkeeper Harry Gregg spectacularly whacked a spectator
at Luton Town in April, 1960, knocking him to the ground.

Prior to the start of the season you probably couldn't have picked two Championship sides with more
diametrically opposed expectation levels than Crystal Palace and West Ham. While Saturday's

I'll never forget the night of January 25th, 1995.
For anyone looking at the emotionless match summary, it'd prove a difficult task to find what

On a cold night at Selhurst Park, London, Crystal Palace and Manchester United played out a dreary
1-1 draw (Southgate 80′, May 56′) in the 94/95 season which ended so disappointingly for the
Reds.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is preparing a double raid on Crystal Palace for hot prospects
Wilfried Zaha and Jon Williams.
Anfield scouts have been monitoring Zaha during his first full season for Palace and Dalglish has

includes provision for an indoor aquatics and sports complex as well as a community sports facility
on the present Crystal Palace National Sports Centre site in Bromley.
"The most difficult challenge of my life". That was how Dougie Freedman
described the task facing him after Crystal Palace's latest heavy away defeat at Swansea which kept
his beloved Eagles deep in the relegation mire. The 36-year-old is a legend in these parts of South
London but there is no denying the uphill battle ahead for the Scotsman in what is sure to be a
challenging introduction into football management.
