It has been a year filled with unfortunate events so far this football season and I am sad to
report that La Liga has lost another former player. Robert Enke who was currently with GermanÂ
squad Hannover 96 has died from an apparent suicide. Enke, well known for his role asÂ
Germany's starting keeper as of January 2009, played for two different La Liga squads over the
course of his career and was considered by many football critics one of the most dependable
keepers not only in Germany, but in the entire world.

La Liga Talk 29 October @ 03:45 AM EST
If the Copa del Rey is played, but hardly anyone cares about it, did it really happen? To say
that some of the La Liga teams think of the cup as a nuisance would be quite an understatement.Â
With the overloaded fixture list consisting of European and domestic matches, the Copa del Rey is
near the bottom of the top teams' priorities.

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini was left "very embarrassed" after seeing the most expensive
team in world football lose 4-0 to a third tier village side Alcorcon in the Spanish King's Cup.
Real fielded a strong team but were 3-0 down to the Segunda Division B club by half-time in the
round of 32 first leg.

Alcorcon ply their trade in the third tier of the Spanish league and when they came up against
big spending La Liga giants Real Madrid in the first leg of this Copa Del Rey (the Spanish
equivalent of the FA Cup) they were probably just dreaming of the much needed cash the tie would
generate, however the Alcorcon players had other ideas.

Well it must be time for the holidays with all the firings that are beginning to occur around
the world of football. Plenty of dismal managers have already been kicked to the curb in other
leagues and now La Liga has its first prominent replacement happening this week. Atletico
Madrid's skipper Abel Resino is the first coach to go from any powerhouse squad in Spain and the
coach could not last an entire year in total length with his new squad.

#16: Osasuna
Osasuna is the worst remaining La Liga club when it comes to goals scored last season. In fact
since 2005 the club has never scored more then 51 goals in a top tier season. But to the club's
credit they do play excellent defense and that alone should help the club fight off relegation.

#20: Gijon
Gijon needed to get much tougher on defense this off-season and to the club's credit they
brought in some young transfers from strong organizations reserve benches. Alberto Botia and Joni
Lopez join the squad. Botia was on transfer with Barca's reserve team and Lopez is on transfer
from the same club.

League's Biggest Baby
It is the least coveted award in all of the LLTO Award Ceremony, the League's Biggest Baby.Â
Who will win it in 2009/2010? With all the new additions to Real Madrid it is quite possible
that one addition will be the odd man out, but who will this player be?

In order to truly predict the winner of next season's Segunda Division I would need Christopher
Lloyd's character, Doc Brown, from the hit movie Back to the Future to fly his Delorean
into the future to discover who would be the league's best, but such a trip would likely cost a lot
of money or involve stealing plutonium from Libyan terrorist.

Alex lora visito Tijuana en vÃsperas de su concierto en el estadio caliente, obviamente todo
mundo se fotografió con el (no es para menos, hasta yo tengo mi foto) , pero eso es lo de la foto

Well their is the lucky clubs and the unlucky ones too. Unfortunately, sometimes the gap is so
small between these clubs that it is hard to say where exactly it all went wrong. They say
football is a game of inches, but sometimes it much more precise then that. These were the teams
that let it slip in between their fingers.

Keeper of the Year
David Cobeno of Rayo Vallecano is our Segunda Division Goalie of the Year. The keeper was
more then reliable for his squad starting an impressive 40 matches and only allowing 35 goals for
the entire season. It would be the most impressive save percentage in the league and the keeper
would be one of the only to start 40 games for the entire season.

Briefly we hear at SATO would like to take you through the Segunda Division of La Liga. We are
aware that the second tier is not always as exciting as the moves that clubs like Real Madrid andÂ
Barcelona are making, but keep in mind that many of the stars of tomorrow are possibly playing in
the secondary league today.

Here in the U.S., it is the annual Madden time of the year, where kids all over America
(both young or grown up) buy the popular sports video game franchise and look up the roster
updates and marvel at the newly designed motion graphics. And for the first time in years, I
haven't even really thought about the game's release date.

Once again it seems like the easiest way to win a Most Disappointing Award is when you are
coming off of a unusually spectacular season. And that was the case for Villareal Club de Futbol
during the 2008/2009 season. The Yellow Submarines were so strong in 2007/2008 that any
performance that was not among the league's best would be considered a mild disappointment at the
least.

A number of Englishmen are off overseas following stints in England or, as in two cases, under the
tutelage of Glenn Hoddle at his academy based in Spain. Ikechi Anya was last seen in England last
season, playing for Northampton Town. Before that, he was at Wycombe Wanderers and then Hoddle's
academy.

They now share 3rd in the West and 5th overall, but 3 of the teams ahead of them have played 2 more
games than Colorado, and Seattle has played 1 more. Chivas still has a 6 point lead on the rest of
the field.

Here in Comares, a tiny village high in the Axarquia region of Andalucia (where I'm fortunate to be

professional team is Malaga CF, who currently play in the Segunda Division.
But don't tell these lads there's no team in Comares.

March is finally here and we're deep into the heart of the domestic season. Many of you will be

that were relegated last Summer.
