A last minute winner from comeback kid Gorka Elustundo ended Real Sociedad's season on a high and
gave Coach Lillo a good end to his tenure after the bitter disappointment of failing to get
promotion. Incredibly the win means that txuri urdin finished with more points away from home than
at the Anoeta - something that will need to change next season for sure.

Real Sociedad were unable to give the home fans the victory they wanted as they bid farewell to
coach Lillo and the players who were playing in their final tie at Anoeta before they move to
pastures new. It turned out to be a very entertaining game with plenty of chances for both sides

Real Sociedad picked up a brilliant win at the weekend over Huesca to keep the club in the
promotion hunt. A fantastic goal by Abreu in the 1st minute (see video below) was doubled by
Aranburu in 31 minutes. Huesca pulled a goal back through Camacho but Real held on despite losing
Markel to a red card in the 56th minute.

positions and is concentrating soley on his next objective - beating Castellón. If Real Sociedad

With Xabier Castillo suspended for this weekends match against Sevilla Atlético after picking up 5
yellow cards the left back slot is up for grabs and could see a rare start given to Boukary Dramé.
The Senegal International is on a season long loan from French outfit FC Sochaux but a mixture of
injury and Castillo's fine form have left the player looking on from the sidelines for most of the

Alavés. This is the team of course who defeated Real in the final game of last season at the same
venue to end the promotion dream and they have hit a hammer blow again. Things looked rosy in the

Real Sociedad picked up all three points this evening against Las Palmas after a penalty was
converted by Sebastian Abreu in a first half which also seen midfielder Markel sent off.
The first 15 minutes passed with no real efforts on goal although play raged from end to end until
Abreu was brought down in the area from a bad tackle as he looked to control the ball.

Real Sociedad could only manage a goalless draw this evening at home to Elche as the the Elche
goalkeeper pulled off some fantastic saves, especially in the second half. Agirretxe missed a
glorious chance to score when he missed a first half penalty.
The first half was dominated by Real Sociedad and Elche only threatened on the counter attack with
Bravo rarely threatened.

(The mad man) is a prolific goalscorer and is currently playing for River Plate in Argentina and
