[I]n our first Conversations post of 2012, I speak with Salop fan Andrew Harding about the quality
of this year's crop and whether the club's move out of town to the New Meadow has been a success,
amongst other things. Andrew can be tracked on twitter via @andrewcharding, or at his own website.
LL: Shrewsbury were acknowledged in various season previews as likely 'there or thereabouts'
candidates and, currently standing in 4th place, have duly delivered thus far.
*Galaxy playmaker Landon Donovan will play for the U.S. Friday in Carson, but skip next week's
game in Belgium per an agreement between U.S. Soccer and the club that means he won't miss Monday's
MLS game against Kansas City.
*Jorge Luis Pinto of Colombia has agreed to return as coach of Costa Rica's national soccer
team, according to AP.
Showing off is generally considered a distasteful trait in life. Right from when we are
toddlers, we are schooled not to show of our bright new shoes, because Timmy doesn't have one see?
If you have nice shoes, you wear them to school and act as if nothing happened. It's slightly
different in sports though, because a lot of the point of a game itself is the other person NOT
winning.

In most of the season previews I have read about Everton, most of them have stressed the importance
of keeping their small squad fit and being lucky with injuries if they are to succeed.
So to have one of their brightest young prospects and key attacking threats, Seamus Coleman,
crocked before the season began, is an ominous sign for the Toffees.

There are fires burning in London, and we hope to see a speedy and safe resolution when it comes to

With the division in general overviewed by Ian yesterday, it's time for the final of the
three official twohundredpercent Football League pre-season previews. For those that haven't seen
the other previews, we've gone about them slightly differently this season. With the transfer
window affecting some managers psychologically to the point that they build their team by the end
of the transfer window, rather than the start of the season, predicting how it all ends up before
teams have finalised their squads is tricky.

With the division in general overviewed by Ian yesterday, it's time for the second of

Yesterday we released our first 5 Premier League team-by-team season previews, looking at Arsenal,

With the division in general overviewed by Ian yesterday, it's time for the annual jinx that
is the official twohundredpercent pre-season previews. We've gone about them slightly differently
this season. With the transfer window affecting some managers psychologically to the point that
they build their team by the end of the transfer window, rather than the start of the season,
predicting how it all ends up before teams have finalised their squads is tricky, especially when
you consider that Bury started last season with fifteen players with league experience, only to add
five players to their promotion winning squad before the end of August.

Pre-season Grinds On Its been a nice relaxing weekend around the Thurman Ranch after a lot of work
and fun travel over the last month or two. We're making great progress on the team-by-team season
previews that have become a staple of the blog over the years. It is my hope that we'll start
posting them next week so that you'll have plenty of time to use that information for your fantasy
teams
This season, we are trying yet another new angle with the Twohundredpercent pre-season
previews. Constraints of time mean that we are starting our pre-season previews very early this
year, and this means that, in no small part through necessity, we will be trying to approach this
from the perspective of the clubs as institutions last minute transfer gossip will have to wait for
another time.
The silly season is mostly over even though MLS clubs can still sign players until April 15. But
with clubs going into preseason mode it's time to take a gander at what each club did over the
offseason months to prepare for the new season ahead.
Now this isn't a preseason look at each club and where they stand for the new season, this is
merely a look at what clubs brought in going against what they lost from last year.
