FIFA is considering a number of rule changes that could have a major impact on the international
game going forward.
The major proposal that FIFA's board is facing would allow teams to use a fourth substitute in
extra time in an attempt to cut down on player injuries.

Swansea City 1-1 Chelsea Premier League 31th January 2012
A last-gasp Neil Taylor own-goal saved Chelsea from another disappointing defeat on Tuesday
night, after Swansea gave the home fans another superb display of pacy attacking football.
1. There's not too many Manchester United fans moaning this morning that Darron Gibson is a
one-trick pony who only hits piledrivers from the edge of the box. 2. Manchester City goalkeeper
Joe Hart didn't realise that having a man on the post was an occupational hazard rather than a
tactical decision at Goodison Park.

JOSH. Fortunately, he won't be playing against us. Nevertheless, this is going to be hella
difficult.

Easily the best footballing side in the Championship last season, it's hardly a
surprise that Swansea have been attracting a lot of positive attention due to their performances in
the Premier League. Thomas Rooney thinks a couple of Swans should be given a chance in the England
squad and if the widely predicted changes happen after Euro 2012, Thomas has a
point!

Arsene Wenger was left blaming the referee, Nathan Dyer's sapling legs, his own porous defence,
his own wayward attack and the poor bloke that ladles out the Bovril at the Liberty Stadium after
watching his Arsenal side have their top-four aspirations kicked squarely in the nads in South
Wales yesterday evening.
Liverpool are considering a January move to sign Swansea City attacker Scott Sinclair after a
succession of glowing scouting reports left Anfield boss Kenny Dalglish readying a potential bid
for the former Chelsea man.
Dalglish has been monitoring a number of prospective attacking additions as the Scot looks to beef
up Liverpool's fire-power after seeing his Merseyside club struggle to find the back of the net.

If defeat to Man City was as honourable as defeat can be, and defeat to Fulham as good an
example of self-implosion as you're likely to see, yesterday's loss to Swansea is one in which we
ought not to be churlish straight away and offer congratulations to our opponents for the way they
played (in general).
After scoring the winner against Leeds a week ago, many Arsenal fans expected their legendary
club icon Thierry Henry to carry on where he left off against Swansea yesterday.
However, a controversial goal in the 16th minute from Scott sinclair brought the home side level
on one goal apiece after Robin Van Persie had netted in the 5th minute.
Arsenal were dealt yet another blow in their bid for a top four finish as a dismal 3-2 defeat
away to Swansea City leaves Arsene Wenger's men with a lot of work ahead of them.
Goals from Scott Sinclair (penalty), Nathan Dyer, and Danny Graham ensured that the Swans
overcome impressive goals from Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott either side of the interval.

A real 3 pointer today, what with Spurs and Liverpool dropping points at home.
We all know that Swansea are a very difficult side to beat at the Liberty Stadium, in fact only
MU have won there this season. The Swans have conceded just 4 goals at home (compared to AFC's 6)
and have drawn half their home games (5/10) Spurs gained a very squeaky point a couple of weeks
ago and Swansea will go into the game full of confidence.
Yes, you can count on me
Yesterday's round of matches was good wasn't it. Yes, not entirely. Paul Scholes scored in his
"comeback" but we all know what happened in the first game of his comeback and how he contributed
to City scoring their goal. So no, he doesn't quite do a "Henry". An Emmanuel Frimpong led
Wolverhampton Wanderers claimed point at Tottenham and it's dropped points for them (Spers, not
Wolves).

An effervescent Swansea side stroking the ball with ease pinned the Hydra headed Spurs attack
for lengthy spells. Against the run of play Spurs went up just before the half with Rafael Van Der
Vaart's goal after Benoit Assou- Ekotto had done all the spadework down the left flank.

Swansea City 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur Premier League 31st December 2011
Swansea City battled from a goal down to secure a vital and deserved point against Tottenham at
the Liberty Stadium.
Rafael van der Vaart had put the high-flying visitors ahead just before half-time, converting a
deflected cross from Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

Swansea City 2-0 Fulham Premier League 10th December 2011
Fulham 'keeper Mark Schwarzer buries his head in the sand
Unquestionably one of the surprise stars of the season so far, Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm
was once again in superb form on Saturday against a talented Fulham side.
In an eventful day of Premier League action, Arsenal, Liverpool, and reigning champions
Manchester United all bounced back from their respective setbacks to win big while Newcastle United
suffered a shocking loss away to lowly Norwich.
The Gunners, who returned home from Greece after a 3-1 thumping at the hands of Olympiakos in
Tuesday night's meaningless Champions League encounter, overcame Everton 1-0 at the Emirates.
This game will go ahead despite the tragic news that Wales manager, Gary Speed, has apparently
taken his own life. Naturally, with the game being in Wales and a number of internationals
involved, the game will inevitably be effected in some way. Such sad news.
Alex McLeish has promised a better performance than we were treated to at White Hart Lane and,
in all honesty, it would be difficult to be much worse.
Swansea should have grabbed at least a draw against Champions Manchester United yesterday
evening, first Angel Rangel gifted Ryan Giggs the ball to set up Javier Hernandez for the only goal
of the game and then Scott Sinclair made a howler when letting the ball through his legs when in
front of an empty net.
Match Review: Liverpool 0 Swansea 0
Frustration reared its ugly head once more yesterday as, for the fourth time this season,
Liverpool failed at Anfield to take all three points from a game. Whereas the draws against
Manchester United, Norwich and Sunderland could in part be excused by the opposition or the
domination the Reds had, labelled in the ‘unlucky' category, it was the lacklustre performance
that was most worrying as Swansea travelled home with a share of the spoils.
Liverpool 0-0 Swansea City | Premier League match report
Swansea deservedly gained only their second away point in the Premier League with a performance
that had the Anfield crowd cheering them off at the final whistle. The Welsh team were indebted to
Michel Vorm, Holland's No 2 goalkeeper, for two outstanding saves at the death, but the quality of
their football merited a point.
Swansea visit Anfield in the last match before the break, looking to earn points away from home
for just the second time this season. They find themselves in tenth on the strength of three home
wins and two draws, but their only point on the road came via a 2-2 draw at Wolves. Liverpool will
hoping to change things up as well after two consecutive 1-1 draws at Anfield prior to their win at
the Hawthorns last weekend.
It has been a superb start to the season for Swansea City, as the club has proven the doubters
wrong by climbing to tenth in the Premiership after a dramatic 3-1 win over Bolton at the Liberty
Stadium last weekend.
Much has been made of the passing style of Brendan Rogers and his side, and many pundits have
claimed that the sides who do play the old fashioned way of passing from the back instead of
'lumping it to the big man up front' more often than not come away with nothing.

Swansea City 3-1 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 29th October 2011
Time must be running out for Bolton boss Owen Coyle after his side slipped to their eighth
league defeat in the last nine games. Swansea, on the other hand, are revelling in their maiden
Premier League season, and remain unbeaten at home.

Sometimes soccer just provides an excuse to drink – anddrink a lot. Like MLS this weekend. Is
there a point to the final matches? NewYork Red Bulls' win over Philadelphia Union on Thursday
night meant theyclinched the final playoff position, leaving no real purpose for watching thegames.
This guy is happy to be back in the mix. We're happy to have him.
We shall be even happier if he can assist in a comfortable win.

Forget about it is like if you agree with someone, you know, like Raquel Welch is one great
piece of ass, forget about it. But then, if you disagree, like a Lincoln is better than a Cadillac?
Forget about it! You know? But then, it's also like if something's the greatest thing in the world,
like mingia those peppers, forget about it.
So tomorrow we are back to the Premier League and new boys Swansea travel to the Bridge with a
couple of familiar faces returning in Brendan Rogers and Scotty Sinclair.
Chelsea will be looking to bounce back after a defeat at United last week that still after a really
good second half performance, leaves me feeling optimistic that, if we can sort out our defending
and regain our usual solidity at the back, we can attack and beat anyone!
Brendan Rodgers is good people. Pretty good scout, too, so sayeth the man himself.
Yes, yes sign that man.
Our former youth and reserve team manager has done rather well for himself since leaving the
club in 2008. He brings his newly promoted Swansea City side anchored by former Blue favorite Scott
Sinclair to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Last weekend was a superb one for Swansea City fans as the club finally secured their first win
in the Premiership, scoring their first goals and securing their first ‘sell out' of the season
as the crowd finally hit the 20,000 mark.
It's been an anxious time for all at the Liberty Stadium but fans can now breathe a huge sigh of
relief with the vital three points propelling Brendan Rogers's side into fourteenth position and,
after an impressive win on Saturday, pundits may be re-evaluating their views of Swansea as one of
the ‘whipping boys' of the league.

It's been a long time coming but the Swans can now breathe a huge sigh of relief, with the vital
three points propelling Brendan Rogers's side into fourteenth and after a superb performance on
Saturday, Swansea fans will be wondering whether pundits may have been too quick to right off the
team as relegation fodder only a few weeks into the new season.
Swansea City got their first three points of the season as they stuffed West
Brom 3-0 today at the Liberty Stadium.
Scott Sinclair scored the opener from the spot after 14 minutes,(see below) Leroy Lita doubled
the Swan's lead in the 24th minute before Nathan Dyer completed the scoring 4 minutes into the
second half.
Our first chat with one of the Premier League newbies, Swansea fan Chris Carra, from Forza
Swansea, has spoken about his hopes for the season ahead.
Scott the Red: Were you happy with your team's performance last season?
Chris Carra: Yes, Swansea had their bad periods and dips in form, but overall delivered an
exciting, fluid footballing experience, with promotion as their deserved reward!
There are fires burning in London, and we hope to see a speedy and safe resolution when it comes to
the riots, but for now, we must continue moving forward with our Premier League season previews.
