What would the NSCAA Convention be without the added excitement (and pressure) of speaking? For
the second year in a row, my good friend and peer Ryan Knapp and I presented together. Ryan and I
met in 2009 at Tweet Blowing the Whistle on Social Media and have bantered back and forth on all
things digital and social media since.
So as Messi basks in the glory of winning a third straight FIFA world player of the year title,
attention continues to be centred on the players who missed out.
One such Player is Neymar. According to Brazilian legend Ronaldo, Neymar not only has the
potential to win the Ballon d'Or, but he can become better than Messi.
'Composed' Patrice Evra taken at his word in race row with Luis Suárez
The FA's report shows that in a row between two men, the one from Manchester United was deemed
to be telling the truth The 115-page report covering the racism row between Luis Suárez and
Patrice Evra, and which was released by the Football Association on Saturday, is by far the longest
and most detailed of its kind.
To wrap things up with the "What I Want For Christmas" series, we'll begin with a bit of a
tactical aside before prioritizing the shopping list...
(In case you missed the beginning of this discussion: Part I and Part II are
available.)
Our likely man in the middle?
In all of this discussion, we've curiously ignored tactics for the most part.
News regarding the NUFC Blog prediction competition in relation to the Christmas/New Year fixture
schedules. GeordieMagpie and El Toro hold the number one and two league positions in our prediction
competition, but with 4 sets of predictions still to go there's still a lot of points up for grabs.
There's still scope for an exciting [.

Jamie Carragher has been talking.
What's cool is that someone actually understood him, enough to translate his mumbling into
prose. Even cooler, he's managed to make himself look even more daft than usual.
Jamie was apparently in the midst of a rant toward the FA regarding home-grown managers.
Welcome to September's issue of The Scope, RedRants' retrospective evaluation of a months events in
the life of Manchester United. Theatre of DreamWorks presents: Anarchy 2.0 Michael Bay has been

visual mayhem, captured in cinematic chaos [.
The Scope "Welcome To English football" David may not speak much English, but his probable shaking
of the head as Sir Alex said those words, must have reflected complete comprehension. He understood
what those words meant and he'll be the first to chorus this line when potential 'Manchester

The Montreal Impact, ready to join MLS in the year 2012, should the whole damn thing not come
tumbling down, unveiled their new crest with the single most unnecessary pomp and circumstance in
the history of crest unveilings. Which is actually quite nice and spans beyond the scope of
MLS.
However, it reminds of a haircut.
Glory Glory By Andy Mitten Published by Vision Sports Publishing, 2009 £17.99 (Hardback)
978-1905326693 Following his review of Eamon Dunphy's A Strange Kind of Glory last week, Russell
George brings us his thoughts on another study of the Big Red Machine. Tangential to the usual
scope of this site it may seem, but author Andy Mitten's prominence in the world of fans as writers
made it worthy of
Arsene Wenger can be a lot of things, but interesting is one of them. (Feels good to start off
the day fresh with a solid backhanded compliment.)
Actually, he's quite an interesting man outside the boundaries of the season, which makes one
thing there might be a little bit of gamesmanship with his in-season commentary.
I'm sure we have all seen the headlines so far after Arsene Wenger's comments about Karim
Benzema, just like his comments about Eden Hazard earlier on this season. They are headline makers
for sure but real options in the transfer market? I would love to see the day when he could make
those comments and back them up with action.
A collection of the worst football kits ever inflicted on the long suffering fans. It is no
coincidence that most of these are from the 1990s, the decade that style forgot. There have been,
of course, many change strips that were worse than the kits shown here but these are beyond the
scope of this site.
Back once more with a wonderful game to look back on, Serie A Weekly is proud to once again bring
you this series from Giancarlo Rinaldi. With Roma-Milan and the Genova derby he had plenty of
scope, yet with time running out on another season he stayed decidedly closer to home. Trap's
Parting Gift As he inspected the San Siro playing surface, Giovanni Trapattoni could have been

Some questions just don't have answers. Hamlet, for example, struggled with the almighty
question: why are we here?
To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come

In the Tuesday edition, we look at the odd concept of wealth in the Scottish Premier League along
with what the scale back at BBC Online can tell us about soccer sites. By J Hutcherson -
WASHINGTON, DC (Jan 25, 2011) -- With the added push of a loss to Hearts over the weekend, Rangers
are now in the unenviable position of trying to figure out scope in the Scottish Premier League.
Watching the U.S.-Chile last night, I couldn't help feeling that we've finally entered the era
of bilingualism in U.S. football. The game was a showcase of new players from both sides, pitting
two teams in the midst of promising and exciting development. (You can read a great analysis the
debates and controversies surrounding Chile's team, and it's coach, by Jeffrey Richey here).
Following up on our posts showing the fantastic goals by Cani and Ibrahimovic, here are a few
more candidates. The top two slots in the following rundown of top goals in England were claimed
by Man City in their win over Wolves: the top slot goes to Tevez, for what is admittedly a fine
individual effort.
