Sie hatten sich so viel vorgenommen für die Partie gegen den FC Schalke 04 am 9. Spieltag der
Saison 2009/2010. Es sollte alles besser gemacht werden im Vergleich zur Heimniederlage gegen den
SV Werder Bremen. Denn da hatte wirklich alles gefehlt – es wurde nicht gekämpft, es lief nicht
viel zusammen, am Ende hieß es 0:2 und der VfB war richtig in der Krise.
