Luca Toni is a man of many off-pitch talents.
Examples, you ask? Well, we have none. We're just assuming he does due to the amount of
extracurricular activities he takes part in, like here at the Sixdays Cycling Race in Munich. He
brought his best fuchsia jumper along for the occasion.
Previously, we've had the pleasure of watching Luca making pizza, hang out with clowns and
circus performers, flog sausages, and pose on scooters for no legitimate reason.

The international break means there will be little club news to report. But it seems some sort
of groundwork is already being set in motion, with the transfer window a month and a half away.
Here's Schalke defender Marcelo Bordon, in an interview to German newspaper, Bild on
goal keeper, Manuel Neuer:
"I know it would be terrible for the supporters of the club, but you have to keep the situation
of the club in mind.

Luca Toni departed the Italian league back in 2007 but it looks as if the striker could be
leaving current club Bayern Munich pretty soon.
Toni was subbed at half-time in the German giant's 1-1 draw with Schalke and reportedly opted to
leave the Allianz Arena rather than watch the second-half from the bench with his team mates.

This matchday of Champions League and Europa League has provided us with action and entertainment.
Anyone who said the group stages are boring is proved wrong big time, with big teams slipping, and
small teams fighting, the group stages will be fought to the death.
In the Champions League, Liverpool boss Benitez is risking big with a 1-1 draw against Olympique
Lyon, although the reds aren't out of the competition mathematically, they will need many results
to go their way so that they can go through to the knockout stages.

A few years ago Toni Kroos was hailed as the next big thing in German football. He won the best
player award at the 2007 U17 World Cup, joined Bayern Munich and was promised the #10 jersey. Far
from claiming the shirt he instead commuted between Bayern's bench and the reserves. Meanwhile
other next big things popped up, won youth tournaments, first team starting spots and call ups to
the German national team.

It's starting to get interesting in the Bundesliga. With the weekend being eclipsed by a
thrilling 3-3 draw. Schalke needed a last gasp goal from Kevin
Kuranyi to make the game even stevens after Hamburg had led, 2-0, 2-1 then 3-2.
Markus Berg and Kevin Kuranyi scored two goals each with Lucas Schmitz and Piotr Trochowski both on
target in a 3-3 draw which had everything, including a red card for Hamburg's David Rozehnal.

I think the jury is still out on
Bayer Leverkusen as title contenders. So far this season
Jupp Heynckes team have beaten Hoffenheim, Freiburg, Bochum, Wolfsburg, Koln and Nurnberg.
Of those six results, only two were against teams from the top half of the table. More pertinently,
when they have played fellow contenders Bayer have come up short.
