If there's one thing I've learned from the Occupy Wall Street movement, it's that all the
protests in the world (bin bags, black scarves, etc) mean nothing in the face of the capitalist
juggernaut.
Yesterday Arsene Wenger went on record saying that rather than buying Eden Hazard for 30 million
pounds/euros (depending on which story you read), he had to show a fifteen to twenty million pound
profit.
Last month, the Brotherly Game brought news of the first ever official shirt based upon the blog
itself. Live Breathe Futbol's design was popular among our readership and Union fans in general,
but the purchasing process was inconvenient.
Due to this situation, we at the Brotherly Game reworked the ordering system and now provide a
service through our own 'store.
Kammy's costume change Soccer Saturday reporter Chris Kamara took advantage of the array of winter
wear on display at QPR's match against Wolves at the weekend by wearing a different outfit each
time presenter Jeff Stelling checked in with him. Explaining his prank, Kammy said: "I jokingly
heard him tell one reporter wearing a hat [.
Sounder at Heart is co-hosting (along with Golazo) an away viewing party for the second leg of
the Sounders-Santos Laguna CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal on March 14 from 4 p.m.-9:30ish.
The event will double as our scarf distribution event. We of course appreciate those of you who
have bought and will buy scarves, but buying a scarf is not a mandatory part of attending.
The Seattle Sounders have played in three U.S. Open Cup title games and three MLS Cup playoff
series, but the match against Santos Laguna in the CONCACAF Champions League on March 7 may be the
biggest match in franchise history. Not to be too much of a shill, but if you're enough of a fan of
this team to be reading this blog, you probably should plan on being at Century Link Field that
day.

time to get used to see their beloved Eagles trooped out Bedok tunnel in not their usual green
outfit.

If you're going to post images of yourself on popular social networking sites, it's best you
don't accompany each picture with the caption 'Look Of The Day'.
The draft is over, training camps are opening up and the season is less than two months away.
It has been a while since we looked at promotional efforts around the league, so we thought the
early preseason presented a good opportunity to look at ticket sales efforts as teams gear up for
the start of the 2012 campaign.
They're baaaaaaaack!
After a unexpected layoff our Free Beer Movement scarves are back in stock! Our friends at Ruffneck

placed an order. We Will still have about 100 left to sell, but they are now $20. Thanks for the
support. Details should be finalized soon on the March 14 away-viewing party.
NOTE: As a point of clarification, the pre-order price of $15 is good until Jan.
As the U.S. WNT will of course not be together for the holidays after breaking camp on Tuesday,
the team had its Holiday Party tonight and a merry time was had by all.
The focus of the party was the exchanging of Secret Santa gifts, spearheaded by master organizer
Heather Mitts, but the festivities also included Christmas music, cookie decorating and of course a
good helping of ugly sweaters (see above).

Portland Mayor honors the bet he lost and he and his office wore Sounder scarves for a day.
November: Trees are barren, early morning frosts, gloves and scarves, rain, the smell of
gunpowder and Arsenal angst as we stutter not my favourite month. Last season lived up to
expectation with 4 losses from the 8 November games our record is not good 2009

However rational or irrational, the dream of diving into a pool filled with a substance of your

Given the mutual hatred between Liverpool and Manchester United, it was surprising to see
Anfield street vendors selling split scarves on Saturday, bearing the names and logos of both
clubs.
1. Seattle's soccer scene rocks. I know that statement is tagged under "ridiculously
obvious." But good heavens, look at what's happening this weekend! More than 60,000 fans are set to
show up for Kasey Keller's final regular season match at CenturyLink Field. There's so much I could
write about it all, about a giant of U.
"Date With Sounder at Heart": Now With Free Tickets
Just in case you weren't convinced before, we can now share that in addition to some specials
guests, Saturday's "Date With Sounder at Heart" in the basement of Temple Billiards will also
include some free tickets to give away for next Tuesday's CCL finale against Monterrey.
What on earth is happening at Leeds? I was at Elland Road last Saturday among 600 Pompey fans
and the change in atmosphere since last season was palpable. Last year, the atmosphere impressed
with fans in good voice and scarves whirling. This year, though, Elland Road is not a happy place,
evidenced by the draconian, 1980s style crowd control methods and the strangely messianic images of
the club's chairman in his seat flashed onto the big screen above our heads.
Football in Canberra: can it get any worse?
We're desperate for a pathway, a male pathway, and Canberra FC have a chance next Thursday. We wish
them luck, but they don't help themselves or the rest of Canberra Football do they.
Our flagship?
So while they are blaming Capital Football, their supporters (some) are even claiming racial
discrimination (ridiculous), I can only see that they are shooting themselves and the rest of
Canberra football in the foot.
I work as a an engineering project manager at Boeing on the 787 program. Today we delivered the
first 787 to All Nippon Airways of Japan. Here's a shot of the ceremony, where they handed out
scarves and asked the crowd to hold them up. I asked one of the communications people who organized
the event if there was any Sounders influence on the scarves and holding them up, and she said she
believed that the higher-ups got the idea from the displays at the games.
As part of an ongoing effort to share the stories of more soccer fans out there, Kristen Gehrke
shares her tale of becoming a Timber's fan. If you have a story that you'd like to share, head over
to the "Contribute" page.I was asked recently, probably after an especially raucous Timbers-related rant, how I came to
soccer.
Charlie Davies' apartment walls are covered with Sounders FC banners, scarves and flags — all
with deep significance to the 25-year-old forward.
"You'd almost think I played for the Seattle Sounders because of all the memorabilia I have," he
said, joking, in a phone interview.
Team Canada: So hot in the 80's!While this site is usually 93% Toronto FC related - and
7% random 80's reference related - today we put down our Reds' scarves for er... red scarves. The
Canadian Men's National Team embarks on its long, arduous and no doubt hair-pullingly frustrating
journey towards World Cup 2014 this Friday at BMO Field.
- Jason Davis Robbie Keane landed in LA yesterday. The Irish forward was greeted by a small
collection of Galaxy supporters sporting scarves and (I imagine) chanting his name. I'm in danger
of making this blog a little too Keane-heavy, but as I do see his signing as a seminal moment in
the history of a league with the reputation of Scrooge McDuck when it comes to transfer fees, it's
a hard development to ignore.
Well, almost. Yes, time to put away the bucket and spades, the After Sun, sombrero and sangria.

As soccer in America grows so does the call for quality, stylish lifestyle apparel. We've all
got our jerseys, scarves, and team specific Snuggies, but those have their time and place
limitations. Thankfully soccer fans have great options with companies like Bumpy Pitch and

A Wizard can't change his rainbow stripesIN THE TUNNEL:The main question coming out onto the pitch was whether the temperature would be colder than the
reception for Teal "Judas" Bunbury - this is what it sounds like when two poor MLS clubs
meet...
ON THE PITCH:1' - This can't possibly be June as a less than capacity crowd actually need their scarves for
warmth - not festivities, Kick-off.
Well done Dynamo fans! The designated supporters group section at the new Dynamo Stadium has
sold out! All 300 spots were purchased and to celebrate, the team has opened up a third
section...how cool is that?
You now have until August 1st or until the last ticket is sold, whichever comes first, to get
your place in what is sure to be the loudest, rowdiest and wildest section in the new stadium.

If you are planning to come to the game this Saturday its suggested that you bring a friend that
has never been to a game before and then make sure to stop by the Dark Clouds Pre-Game Tailgate to
win.

It's that time of the week you've all been waiting for -
Diary of an MLS Convert is back,
and the converts have, as usual, got plenty to say this week. Topics covered by supporters of
Eastern teams include receiving club merchandise, comparing MLS to Rushden & Diamonds, a whole lot
of nothing about DC, starting work as a game finishes, and MLS salaries.
Below is a poll to gauge the interest of our readers in both scarves that we will be selling,
and a viewing party for an away game. July 17 and Aug 20 are the possible dates for the viewing
party. Both of the games are away games that are at night and do not conflict with a Philadelphia
Phillies home game.
RoM gave away two tickets to the Champions League semi-final to Mike Parkinson from Ashton under

The experience of going to watch United is the same every time. You get yourself to Stretford,
walk down the Warwick Road and enter Old Trafford to see the reds.
The good weather made it a warm balmy night so good for football.
As the last person to leave remembers to flick the porch lights off, close the
back door and slide the key under one of the many overflowing bin bags that've been piling up since
last September- thus saying a fond but hearty fare-thee-well to Tottenham's maiden Champions League
voyage- perhaps now's a good time to look back on the whole remarkable experience and say: well
that was a bit of alright, wasn't it?

When the Philadelphia Union announced that the team would substitute what it called
"commemorative" season tickets for a new card system, fan interest was piqued on what changes would
be added.
A loyalty points program was soon thereafter released to the public and there was an excitement
over Twitter, Facebook and soccer blogs or forums about the prizes that season ticket holders could
receive.
Seeing this photo by Erika Schultz of the Seattle Times seriously made my day. Saw at least
three Sounder at Heart scarves during march to the match. Too bad the Sounders had to go ahead and
ruin it.
What are you wearing -- one of the most possibly provocative questions that can be asked on the
internet. But we're not interested in the state of your undergarments, thanks. No, we want to know
what you're sporting on the day that Seattle demands "Scarves Up!" What Sounders gear are you
rocking for First Kick?
