Les Murray on SBS's website wrote an article about the W-League coming of age this year -
presumably because he watched the Grand Final and enjoyed it. Apparently the league is full of
players with great technical skills this year!
Rubbish Les - not much has changed. The point being the standard from the top few teams has always
been pretty high and remains so.
Fox Sports FC has changed this year and it's not a great look or feel for the better in my
opinion.
Adam Peacock couldn't control the boys Bozza and Slater so a change had to come I guess. Simon Hill
and Andy Harper as hosts were always excellent.
Now we have Andy Maher as host, no probs with him, not great as a football lead but professional,
and Andy Harper and Mark Bosnich as the experts.
Having denigrated the A-League in its early years, SBS, the home of FTA Football has finally come
full circle.
Many football fans were sick and tired of SBS in its coverage of the A-League in those eary season.
They not only failed to promote and cover the game in a meaningful way but they stuck the boot in,

Foxtel's objective is to invest in AFL to increase its household coverage from 34% to over 50% and
to head towards 60%. There is a view that sports fans will not baulk at the $720 to $1,200 per year
for all AFL games each week. However, the current patchwork economy is likely to have had some
impact on paytv growth.
You ready for episode 11.0 and guest Andrew Orsatti? That's right another heavyweight in the world
of sports broadcasting joins Adam and Kevin to discuss the past, present, and future of the
beautiful game in the Italian peninsula. Mr. Orsatti in his transition from field to studio worked
first for Austrailan television broadcaster SBS, and now hosts ESPN Press Pass from their global.
How come all the organisers of football, the media, the FFA, the whole lot of em run everything out
of Sydney...or so it seems.
So tonights plan to "Save the Game" or some other such football fanfest, while of course an
interesting intiative - but we hold it in Sydney.
Reckon Adelaide would have been better - at least they'd get a few fans!
