Defender Yamith Cuesta is available for Saturday's derby against the Galaxy after receiving all the necessary clearances, while long-injured defender Lawson Vaughn (who made just seven starts last year and none so far this season) was waived and midfielder Sasha Victorine, yet to recover from a concussion suffered two weeks ago in practice was placed on the DL at least until Oct.

From the Chivas USA Front Office, Chivas USA defender Yamith Cuesta, acquired on loan on Aug. 14 from Colombian club Expreso Rojo, has received his P-1 work visa and International Transfer Certificate, and is now eligible for MLS action. That means the Galaxy make just one change to the unit that beat New England 1-0 last time out with Landon Donovan returning from national team duty to take his usual spot in midfield at the exprense of Eddie Lewis.
