Since it'd been a few days without a post I figured I'd give you a second post today as well on
stats. This time it's all competition goal scorers for Sporting KC in their history. First here are
some previous years for you.
1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
On the list this year we add two new players to the list this season, other than that we see no
movement on the list this year.
More stats to update for you. This time it's the leading scorers in MLS play now through the 2011
season. First here are links back to the previous years.
1996 - 1997 - 1998 - 1999 - 2000 - 2001 - 2002 - 2003 - 2004 - 2005 - 2006 - 2007 - 2008 - 2009 -
2010
One new player joins the list this year, and another continues to shoot up the list.
Playoffs feel so good.
Last night was the 12th league win, and 15th in all competitions this year, the most since 2004
when the team had 14 league wins and 20 in all competitions.
Teal Bunbury scored his 14th league goal, breaking his tie with Matt McKeon, Jose Burciaga, Sasha
Victorine, and Claudio Lopez and moving into a tie with Jack Jewsbury for 13th on that list.
Davy Arnaud made his 238th league appearance for KC, breaking his tie with Kerry Zavagnin for the
most appearances in team history in league play.
Peterson Joseph was the 13th player to make their league debut for KC this year, the most debuts in
a season since 21 in the team's inagural season in 1996.
Omar Bravo's and Kei Kamara's 2 goals tie them with Eddie Johnson and Davy Arnaud for the most
goals against TFC. Funny note, only Johnson has scored in multiple games against them, the other 3
got their 2 goals in single games.
Kamara's goal was also his 30th in MLS play of his career.
Kamara's two goals moves him past Jack Jewsbury and Chris Brown into 11th place for the most league
goals for KC.
Here are some stats from last night's US Open Cup game.
Kevin Ellis became the first player from the Wizards Juniors program to make an appearance for KC's
first team.
Kei Kamara's goal was his 15th in all competitions for KC, he's the 20th player to score that many
goals in his KC career.
Since color analyst Sasha Victorine quit traveling to spend more time with his family, announcer
Callum Williams has had to deal with rotating partners. First it was Brian Kilmeade from Fox news
for the Red Bulls game. He is in New York, very comfortable on television and a big sports fan so
he was a logical fill in for Sasha.
During "Off the Pitch" Sunday night in the closing of the program, Callum Williams made mention
that the game was Sasha Victorine's last game in the booth for a while. Today we got more of an
explanation as to what is happening. Victorine is gone from the booth and will take another
position in the organization.

Here are the stats from yesterday's game.
Aurelien Collin was the 150th player to appear in a competitive game for Sporting KC.
Collin picked up the third red card of the season for KC, they picked up 4 in all of last
season.
Kei Kamara's first goal tonight broken his tie with Igor Simutenkov, Miklos Molnar, and Chris
Henderson for 17th on that list.
I noticed a couple of errors yesterday relating to the LA Galaxy's games in the 2000 CONCACAF
Champions Cup (played in January 2001, but still called the 2000 edition). They've been fixed, and
the corrected version can be downloaded here (stats through 2010).
Brian Kelly & Zak Ibsen were each listed with two sub appearances.
Alright, so the SuperDraft has now come to a conclusion and the Kansas City Wizards, er,
Sporting Kansas City (Wizards) have said goodbye to a few players, hello to others and managed to
prevent goodbyes to a few as well. So it's about time that I get some writing done... you know,
because all of you have been deprived of my brilliant thinking and analysis.
Continuing my stats updating for the 2010 season, here are the top goal scorers in all competitions
for KC through the 2010 season. First is previous years so you can see the progression of the goal
scorers.
1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009
There's only one addition to this list goal wise that wasn't on the list from earlier today, and
that's Teal Bunbury's goal in the US Open Cup qualifier against Colorado.
Time to start catching up on all my post season stat information. Here is the list of top scorers
through the 2010 season. First here are the previous years for you if you want to see how the list
has progressed.
1996 - 1997 - 1998 - 1999 - 2000 - 2001 - 2002 - 2003 - 2004 - 2005 - 2006 - 2007 - 2008 - 2009
There wasn't a whole lot of movement on the list this year for KC as a lot of the players on the
list have moved on, but there are still a few active players on the list.
