After the 35th round of Brasileirao, one thing is clear: the champion will be red and black. The
only thing that remains unclear is if it will also carry the white of Sao Paulo, or it will have
just the two colors of Flamengo.
The two sides took advantage of Palmeiras' tie against Sport and look ready for the title.

Uruguay won 1-0 in Costa Rica early this morning, arguably
giving them a decent advantage for the return leg on Wednesday. Costa Rica were down to ten men for
the last 40 minutes or so after Randall Azofeifa was dismissed, but the damage had
already been done by Sao Paulo's Diego Lugano who scored after 21 minutes.

Recently, Palmeiras and Sport played some thrilling and decisive matches, with one side side
usually celebrating at the end. Sport eliminated Palmeiras from Copa do Brasil. Palmeiras
eliminated Sport from Libertadores and before that they battled in the group stage.
Last night in Sao Paulo, Palmeiras and Sport tied in 2 goals for the 35th round of
Brasileirao.

Without even stepping into the pitch on the weekend, Sao Paulo did something that has been very
common for the club lately: It reached the top of Campeonato Brasileiro. In the 34th round of the
tournament, the club, who fights for its 4th Brazilian title in a row, benefited from the defeats
of Palmeiras and Atletico-MG.

Sao Paulo managed to hold on to a 1-1 draw against Gremio on Wednesday despite having three
players get sent off in the final 15 minutes. Of the three tackles that earned early dismissals, I
think the butt kick/head slap combo (15 seconds in) would have to be the most original.
But if you want to see something that will make the above video look like bingo night at the old
folks home, check out this clip of the MMA battle between the BYU and New Mexico women's teams.

Until the 32nd started, things looked dull for Palmeiras. There was enormous pressure and the
fear that the team had just lost the Brasileiro. But after the last mid-week round of Brasileirao,
things changed again. Palmeiras won and all direct rivals, but one, lost precious points. With
that, the hopes of Palmeiras fans have been renewed.

.... Lots of it. After looking like the virtual champion of Campeonato Brasileiro, Palmeiras
lost points and the chances of confirming the title. And with that, 4 clubs have now the chance of
taking the title away from the side headed by Muricy Ramalho. In the 31st round of Brasileiro,
Atletico-MG, Inter, Sao Paulo and Flamengo won their matches and are just a few step away from
jumping to first (something that can happen in the next round).

After the 29th round of Brasileiro, it seems no one wants to take the title home. Like in the
last round, when only one club on the top won, the leaders collectively failed again. Palmeiras,
Sao Paulo and Atletico-MG lost. Inter and Goias tied at home. And, in this way, Flamengo, the 6th
side on the table, was the first team on the top to win.

There's nothing that can be demanded from Dunga and his players.

skies. The skies of La Paz took the reserve side of Brazil closer to hell than heaven. The 3600
meters above sea level suffocated the players.

It was one of the most dramatic victories of this year's Brasileirao. Sao Paulo had all the
reasons to see its visit to Nautico end up in a sound defeat.
1)Sao Paulo did not have keeper Rogerio Ceni and two of its main forwards;
2)Nautico had a penalty with just 4 minutes into the match;
3)Sao Paulo had 2 players ejected one in each half;
4)Nautico scored (through Bruno Mineiro) a goal early in the match.

This is a bit a late, but it confirms what i wrote earlier this week about the 25 round of

Vagner Love, was constructed in such fashion.
