Sorry for the lack of posts over the past couple of days. Quite a bit going on in my world at that moment. Now, with the pleasantries out of the way, let's take a look at what's been going on since our much-needed win at Wolves. Turns out, this has been a relatively newsworthy day for the Chels.

Former New England Revolution striker Marco Antônio Lemos Tozzi, better known as Catê, passed away on Tuesday morning in a car accident in his native Brazil.

According to TalkSport, the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is seriously considering a move for the Sao Paulo midfielder Carlos Henrique Casemiro and is willing to pay upto £10 million for the young Brazilian hotshot. The 19-year-old is a typical box-to-box midfielder. His playing style is both versatile and aggressive as he is a tough-tackling midfielder [.

Prior to the World Club Championship final in December 2005, Liverpool were in the midst of an eleven game unbeaten run, and were looking invincible. Another Sunday, another piece of shitty news. Socrates, the bearded, chain-smoking footballing doctor and heart and soul of Brazil's 1982 World Cup side has died today after suffering a septic shock in hospital in Sao Paolo.

He had been in a critical condition with an intestinal infection since being admitted to intensive care on Friday (I've read reports suggesting it was after eating a bad stroganoff), but he had also been suffering with illness for a while before that.

FIFA have released the dates and venues for the matches of the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, with the patience of traveling supporters set to be tested once again.
Instead of keeping group games within a couple of venues located close to one-another, as used to be the norm, fans will face trips of up to 2,000 miles in order to watch all of their nation's opening clashes.

Morocco will host both the 2013 and 2014 FIFA Club World Cups.
Iran, South Africa and the U.A.E. all withdrew their bids, leaving FIFA to bring the competition to Africa for the first time. The hosting is set to be rubber-stamped in Zurich in December.
The North African nation has a strong soccer tradition, and the national team memorably became the first African nation to win a group in the World Cup Finals, topping England, Portugal and Poland at Mexico '86, before losing to a late Lothar Matthaus goal from eventual finalists West Germany in the next round.

Valentine's Day 2011 saw an announcement anticipated but met with sorrow around the football world and mourned with open grief in his native Brazil. Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima stated at a hastily arranged press conference in Sao Paolo that he was retiring from the sport. The 34-year-old was clearly distraught and broke down several times as he explained the reason he can no play longer the game so dear to him.
