Reports in the papers today suggest that Celtic manager Tony Mowbray is lining up a loan move for Stoke striker Dave Kitson, which would see the player move north of the border until the end of the season.

It was not pretty but a deflected William Gallas opener and second-half own goal from Gary Caldwell put Arsenal firmly in the driving seat in this UEFA Champions League play-off tie as the visitors earned a 2-0 victory against Celtic.

The home team had more than matched Arsène Wenger's side for the best part of 45 minutes in Glasgow before Gallas deflected Cesc Fà bregas's free-kick into the net just before the interval.

Arsenal did not show any nerves or fear at Celtic Park this evening despite the early harrassment of the fans and the fervoured desire of the player in hoops. in terms of urgency and aggression, Celtic were the better team for five minutes. the noise was intense, the fans booed as soon as the Gunners regained glimpses of possession.
