Who Ate All the Pies 18 January @ 02:31 PM EDT

So Celtic couldn't beat the SPL's bottom-placed team, and not for the first time this season. The Hoops may still be second in the table, but these are grim times at Parkhead, with fans voicing their disapproval of, er, everyone from majority shareholder Dermot Desmond to gaffer Tony Mowbray.

Calcio, Spareggi Mondiali: Francia, che furto al Trap. Bene Portogallo, Grecia e Slovenia.

Georgios Samaras beautiful pass sets up Greece's winner

Soccerblog 19 November @ 08:26 AM EDT

Before Adebayor, Robinho and the other eight strikers at City, there used to be Georgios Samaras. Although highly touted by Stuart Pearce, he failed to make an impact in the two years while at the club.

When Sven Goran Ericksson was made manager Samaras was confined mostly to the bench.

Arsenal take commanding lead against Celtic

Soccer Tickets Online 18 August @ 07:30 PM EDT

It was not pretty but a deflected William Gallas opener and second-half own goal from Gary Caldwell put Arsenal firmly in the driving seat in this UEFA Champions League play-off tie as the visitors earned a 2-0 victory against Celtic.

The home team had more than matched Arsène Wenger's side for the best part of 45 minutes in Glasgow before Gallas deflected Cesc Fà bregas's free-kick into the net just before the interval.

Luck deserts Celtic as Arsenal seize control

SoccerLens 18 August @ 05:11 PM EDT

This morning, Tony Mowbray looked out of his window, saw the clouds and the threat of rain, and though "a bit of rain will help our game tonight". He made his breakfast, ate it, enjoyed it, and began the journey to the Lennoxtown training centre in a buoyant, if not overly-confident mood.

But, somewhere along the way, he must have ran over a black cat.

The Offside - Arsenal 18 August @ 02:18 PM EDT

It's game time let's beat these Scots like general Gnaeus Julius Agricola at the battle of Mons Graupius (boom! history joke!). The good news is that Denilson, Sagna, and Cesc all passed their fitness tests and are ready to go. The bad news is that Diaby passed his fitness test and is ready to play (I kid, I kid).

Arsenal v Celtic Preview.

English Premier league 17 August @ 12:02 PM EDT

Â

We travel to Celtic Park tomorrow for the first leg of our Champions League qualification fixture. It's a shame that only one of two clubs this size will go through to the Champions League group stage, but it does result in a mouthwatering tie this early in the year. 40 million pounds and any CL hopes is on the line, and the fixtures will be played in two of the best atmospheres in Europe.
