People talk about the magic of the FA Cup, but don't tell that to me or Hull fans who staked
emotion or cold, hard cash on their team winning last Saturday. I knew I shouldn't have trusted
Matt ‘Tubbsy' Tubbs after he snuck an equaliser for Salisbury City against Forest a few years
back. Still, [..
Our non-league videos of the week are twenty-four hours late this week, but we have four matches
for you this evening two from the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier, one from the Blue Square Bet
South and one from the FA Vase. First up are two matches from the championship battle at the top of
the Blue Square Bet Premier.

This week's non-league videos of the week features four matches from the Second Round of the FA
Trophy. With only thirty-two teams left in the competition at this stage, the scent of a Wembley
final is starting to drift into the air, and our four matches tonight feature twenty-five goals.
First up is a match between two clubs that are owned by their supporters, as Ebbsfleet United of
the Blue Square Premier play Chester of the Northern Premier League.

The FA Cup has lost some of its prestige with the rise of the Premier League but Sunday's clash
between Manchester United and Manchester City was a glimpse at the drama knockout competitions can
provide in a 3-2 win for United.
United were up by three goals before halftime thanks to two goals from Wayne Rooney and a
stunning strike from Danny Welbeck.
The FA Cup Third Round this weekend sees a handful of fascinating ties for the non-league clubs
still in the competition, with Blue Square Premier title chasers Fleetwood Town taking on
Blackpool, Tamworth travelling to Goodison Park to play Everton and Salisbury City of the Blue
Square South making the journey to Bramall Lane to play Sheffield United.

Thedraw for the third round of the FA Cup was made on Sunday afternoon, with the occasion
throwing out a few tasty looking ties, none more so than the meeting of City and United.
Sir Alex Ferguson will no doubt have wanted a rather easier draw, although the chance to get
some revenge for the 6-1 mauling at Old Trafford might well give United an extra incentive in this
game.
We have five matches for you this week as our non-league videos of the week. First up is the
match from the Blue Square Premier between Ebbsfleet United and a club that has been having renewed
difficulties off the pitch again, Darlington. Next up are the goals from the Blue Square North
match between Altrincham and Gloucester City.

This weekend, the FA Cup reached its final qualifying round and the introduction of the clubs of
the Blue Square Premier adds a little extra spice to the competition as well. Everybody that took
to the pitch in this competition at the weekend went into their match knowing that a live
appearance on ITV and a sizeable pay day could well be on the cards if they could just get over
this hurdle, and this evening we have four matches from this round of the competition.

There was a full round of matches in all three divisions the Football Conference this week, and
it looks like being a very tight season in the Conference South. Today, there are just ten points
between the team at the top of the table and the team in fourteenth place, and there seems little
between the top three sides, with others lower down the table looking more than capable of joining
them.

There is a lot of money flying about in the Blue Square South this season as the teams jostle to
fill the void at the top left by Braintree Town and Ebbsfleet United. The gap between those with a
decent budget and those without seems to be growing a bit more in the southern half of Step 2 than
in the northern half.
On Saturday, Weymouth beat Salisbury City by two goals to nil in the Zamaretto League Premier
Division. It was a significant moment for the Terras. Having started the season under a ten point
deduction for entering into administration towards the end of last season, they had spent the whole
of this season rooted to the bottom of the table but this win their third in the last four matches
lifted them out of the relegation places for the first time this season.

It's time again for our weekly round-up of non-league videos, which this week focusses on the
last sixteen of this year's FA Trophy. Although some of the gloss from this competition may have
been lost as the Blue Square Premier has come to be the behemoth of the non-league game, there is
still a lot to play for with a place at Wembley at stake these are days out that players,
supporters and staff don't forget in a hurry and the winners of this weekend's matches will find
themselves just three matches from a trip there.
