The fallout from the clásico against San Lorenzo on Sunday is beginning to die down in

The 26-year old has shown his talent throughout his career, but became River's main target after

River Plate have made their first incorporation by bringing in Robert Flores. The 22-year old
midfielder may not be known outside of his native country, but in Uruguay he was praised by both
fans and critics alike, gaining him a strong comparison to the legendary Enzo Francescoli. In his
first season as a starter for River Plate of Uruguay (yes, his now ex-club holds the same name as
us), he shined and was even chosen as the best player of the tournament by a group 100 of the
country's best journalists.

Many false rumours are being thrown around in the transfer market nowadays, but with the highly likely departures of Radamel Falcao Garcia and Sebastian Abreu, Aguilar is said to be seriously considering reinforcing the squad with a new striker.
To the surprise of many, one of the "stronger" names will actually be one that is well known to River fans already.

At the end of a long, hard, terrible season, Racing Club can finally be sure of one thing that is,
at least slightly, positive. A Facundo Sava goal ten minutes before the break gave them a 1-0
victory over Huracán in El Cilindro, and with it the certainty that they won't be in the

San Martín de Tucumán will be replacing, rather than joining, their namesakes from San

In an all-Santa Fé encounter on Friday evening, Colón and Newell's had to settle for a
draw which leaves both sides still hovering above the relegation playoff spots in positions that,
whilst they should be safe, are catchable for the chasing pack below them. Banfield, meanwhile,

Newell's Old Boys need to buck their ideas up if they're going to avoid a relegation struggle
during the Clausura, as I said on Thursday in the Clausura preview. On Friday evening, in the first
league match of the year, they started the fight, with an unlikely victory away to 2007 Clausura
