'You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes.. you get what you need.' Harry has
sought advice from Mick Jagger to soothe the ruffled feathers of Spurs fans pining for 'Marquee'
signings. The words above proved prophetic when Gallas came in and more recently with the arrival
of Friedel and Parker which made even this Spurs diehard eat his words.
So another transfer window comes to a close. This unlike many others was surprisingly quiet,
mainly due to clubs now having to take into account UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
Another reason for the quiet was our gaffer's appearances in court seriously restricting his
ability to go on Sky Sports News every five minutes and tell the world which 'top top players' he
was looking at.
THFC1882 presents guest writer Kenny Palmer's report of Tottenham Hotspur
versus Wigan:
A man of the match performance by Gareth Bale against obliging opponents Wigan helped reignite
Spurs title challenge, as they now sit just five points behind the Manchester clubs following the
leaders City's defeat to Everton.
May have seen this on a FOF post a few weeks back, but worth re-sharing in light of Saturday's
draw:
Fulham have conceded a joint-league high 33% of their goals in the final 15 minutes of games
this season.
Not sure who we were tied with, but we're probably #1 after Saturday as so far this season we've
conceded 6 goals in the final 15 minutes of games.

Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has joined Manchester City in a shock transfer
deal whilst Wayne Rooney has warned City fans not to get too excited! Hargreaves played just 11
minutes in years at Old Trafford having joined the club from Bayern Munich in 2007. The battling
midfielder has been hampered by a string [.
There's still one game to go until the first gameweek of fantasy premier league has been completed,
but it is still safe to say that this is going to be an interesting season. Matches have been very
even, and 5 out 9 games ended in a draw. Out of those 5, 4 matches ended 0-0.
Game week 2 in fantasy premier league sees many interesting matches too, and here are some tips for
you for when making your first tranfers.
SAM BARKER
(Philadelphia Union)
Okay, a lot to discuss this week. Firstly, I didn't know Nowak was having the Union team
take karate lessons, because the first two goals in the game against New England were some form of
ancient martial arts! Great to see players getting their first (of hopefully many more) goals
against what was a really weak, poor, rubbish, crap New England defence.
Finally Whitecaps fans's prayers have been answered! Fans continuously asked for a designated
player and a forward, and now they've got both in the form of Eric Hassli. But... are they really
that happy? I'll admit it, when I saw that the Whitecaps signed Eric Hassli as their designated
player, I was slightly disappointed.
Here we go. A weekend of Premier League football is upon us and the title race is as open as ever
as Manchester United travel to Liverpool and Arsenal take on Sunderland at home (without RVP or
Cesc). Let's take ... Continue reading →
Preview: Everton v Reading (19.30) Saha, who has been troubled with a hamstring injury of late,
crashed his Ferrari into a fence on Sunday but David Moyes has included him in his squad to face
the Championship side. Marouane Fellaini is a major doubt, however, after aggravating an ankle
injury in Saturday's Premier League victory over Sunderland and a decision on his fitness will not
be made
Jack Wilshere played really well last night. He did this because he is an excellent player –
my friend says better than Fabregas maybe not yet, but there is no reason for him not to be one
day. His composure in unerring, but last night's defensive role cannot be a regular task given to
him.

Yet again after the weekend result it is the defence that has been called into question, the
cries of weakness are again heard and the calls for a return to the glory days of the famous four
of Adams, Bould, Winterburn and Dixon. Add to those four Keown and yes we had an impressive back
line available.
That was a dirty, scrappy match that we won yesterday. There wasn't a stretch of the match that
wen't on for more than 5 minutes (I think) that didn't have a rough tackle, foul, or whistle.
Unfortunately, in the first half, the ref was entirely one-sided.
I am beyond angry at the announcers for that match.

Big game today at the Emirates.
AEK traveled north on Saturday night, looking to get back on track after last weeks miserable
game. And it was all positive for Manolo Jimenez and his team as we came away with the 3 points
courtesy of goals from Leonardo and the seemingly never aging Liberopoulos.
Jimenez sprung some major selection surprises in this game with the idea of resting players for the
upcoming midweek 2nd leg Greek Cup clash against pao.

Josh Liptak is a football fan from the USA. You can follow his tweets @lipmak and
hopefully he'll be blogging soon. Here's Josh's favourite goal ...
The goal that Frank Lampard scored in the 72nd minute of the 2009 FA Cup final for Chelsea
against Everton isn't my favourite goal because it's beautiful, although it is; a left foot
screamer from outside of the box that brushed away Tim Howard's hand with contempt as it sought the
top corner, it is a goal to be watched again and again.

Kimse kızmasın GS yöneticilerine ya da inşaat şirketine bu olaydan sonra. Fanatizm ve
hazımsızlık genlerine işlemiş bu kafada adamlar varken bize bu utançlar müstehak. Bunlarla
aynı takımı tutmanın verdiği utancın yanında puan tablosu, saha içi falan çok sevimli
kalıyor. Bu zihniyete her şey müstehak.
David Moyes needs a new striker. Pfft. Don't we all. The difference, I guess, is when the
manager loses so much faith in the ones on his books that he abandons the idea of having a
target-man altogether. Just bench the lot of ‘em. What's been left is the rather lonely cut
figure of Tim Cahill- excellent though he is- bustling around up top on his own, frantically trying
to get on the end of something.
