Shrewsbury Town have moved another step closer to becoming the first club in England to install a safe-standing zone in their stadium.

The League One club launched a crowdfunding drive after submitting their application to the Sports Ground Safety Authority back in July, and have now successfully reached their £65,000 target.

The League Oneside have submitted a proposal to the FA to remove around 555 seats from the terraces at Greenhous Meadow and replace them with approximately 400 'rail seats'.
