As expected Newcastle will start with the team that was on the field after Leon Best and Ryan
Taylor went off injured last week in that first half against Aston Villa. So Papiss Cisse starts
up front for Leon Best and will partner Demba Ba , and Gabby Obertan starts on the right wing in
place [.
Today's game at White hart Lane is a massive game for Newcastle United. And it's not that we will
be at full strength today either, since we'll be missing Yohan Cabaye through suspension, Cheick
Tiote because he's still at the African Cup of Nations, and Ryan Taylor and Leon Best are both
injured with [.
We'll get some idea about how good Newcastle are against one of the top English sides tomorrow
afternoon when the lads take on Tottenham Hotspur in London. Papiss Cisse and Alan Pardew
during training yesterday But with a number of players missing, including Cheick Tiote, Yohan
Cabaye, Leon Best and Ryan Taylor, Newcastle will not be at their strongest, at least not in
central midfield.
In the poll we've been running since late November, Tim Krul is the most improved player at the
club this season, with over 3200 votes in. Tim Krul Newcastle's magnificent goalkeeper after Villa
win Tim is on 50% of the vote, with Ryan Taylor on 12% and his name-sake Steven on 11%. Here's the
poll [.
Venue: St James'Park, NE1. Date: 5th February 2012 Kick Off: 1.30pm Referee: Mark Halsey. Well, it
was another three points in the bag for the Magpies as they passed the supposedly "magical" 40
point mark, with no less than 14 games of the Premiership season to go. Apart from this though, the
most obvious salient [.
There's been an update on the injury situation with Ryan Taylor and Leon Best today. Ryan
Taylor goes down just before Demba Ba scored yesterday The Newcastle medical team have further
assessed the two players this morning, but Leon Best seems to have suffered some medial ligament
damage in his left knee, and as Alan Pardew mentioned yesterday, that's usually a six week
layoff.

Demba Cisse the most expensive player in the January transfer and the other half of the
Senegalese strike force alongside Demba Ba, provided an instant impact as he scored a majestic goal
on his debut. Majestic.
Ba and Cisse were away on ACN duty and how they were missed, especially Ba, who gave Newcastle
the lead in the 30th minute for his 16th Premiership goal.
Newcastle are in negotiations right now with Fab Coloccini's agent, on a new long term deal for
the Newcastle captain. Tim Krul could get new improved deal on Tyenside And there will also be
new deals offered to Danny Guthrie and Danny Simpson, and as we reported earlier today, for Demba
Ba too.

At his press conference this afternoon, Alan Pardew said that Papiss Cisse was impressive in
training today. Papiss Cisse in training this morning at Benton Alan said that not all his players
did a full session today at the Benton training grounds, but everybody hung around so
they could see what Cisse was like, and Alan said the Senegal striker will have impressed one [.
Newcastle star goalkeeper Tim Krul has come out today and given a very positive interview. Man of
the Match Tim Krul at final whistle on Wednesday That's before Newcastle take on Aston Villa at St.
James' Park on Sunday afternoon, in the early kick off game at 1:30pm. If Newcastle can win that
game, and [.
Blackburn's Junior Hoilett does his best Scuba-Diving impression against Newcastle last night
and not only does he get away scot free, his opponent Ryan Taylor is given a yellow card for
venting his anger. It's time the FA stood up and banned this type of behaviour once and for
all!
By Chris Wright
This one's for JS; a GIF or two of Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett's awful, downright shameful
attempted penalty con against Newcastle last night that eventually led to Ryan Taylor getting
booked for having the gumption to be majorly pissed off by the Canadian's little flop.
Alan Pardew has always supported James Perch, since the Londoner came to the club in December of
2010. James Perch played well in the last two games And it's also true that James has struggled
on Tyneside since he arrived from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2010, and we though Alan
liked James because he was the [.
This match saw the welcome return of Captain Coloccini, and also the absence of Yohan Cabaye a
victim of trial by television and the London FA earlier in the day. Chris Samba was missing from
the Blackburn Rovers line-up following the club's failure to release him during the January
transfer window clearly fit [.
Newcastle United are up to fifth in the Premier League after they beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0,
while Arsenal's poor run of form continues as they were held 0-0 at Bolton.
Newcastle took a 12th-minute lead when Blackburn's Scott Dann deflected a 25-yard shot from Ryan
Taylor past stranded Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

Newcastle are now just three points behind Chelsea and a UEFA Champions League place as the
Magpies leapfrog both Liverpool and Arsenal with the win.

Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Newcastle United Premier League 1st February 2012
Despite still being shorn of the services of their two Demba-tastic strikers, Alan Pardew's
Newcastle halted their recent decline with a very valuable away victory at Ewood Park.
Fabricio Coloccini as expected is back in the starting line-up for Newcastle at Ewood Park
tonight. Coloccini missed Saturday's FA Cup 1-0 defeat at Brighton with a slight groin strain, but
he comes straight back into the Newcastle side for a tough game against Blackburn Rovers.
Ryan Taylor comes in for Yohan Cabaye in central midfield, and he did so well there in the QPR
game, when Cabaye [.
As far as a center-back coming in last month, Alan Pardew decided to keep his powder dry for the
summer transfer window. Peter Lovenkrands deserves a start tonight And we think with all the work
that was done in January, Newcastle will be in a good position to bring in some good players
over the summer, much like the club did last [.
It's a real shame that Yohan Cabaye has been hit with a violent conduct charge. Yohan Cabaye after
scoring against Manchester United And it's a very high likelihood that he will miss the next three
games, but we should know by 6:00 pm tonight. That's when he and Newcastle have to decide whether
they [.
Ryan Taylor has revealed that things are a lot more stable at the Newcastle club. Ryan Taylor
after scoring stunning winner at Sunderland It seems ever since Alan Pardew arrived he has
stamped his authority on the team and the club in a very positive way, and certainly the
players seem right behind what he's trying to do.

Some of us are just about getting over the shock of seeing a Newcastle side completely dismantled
in the second half at Fulham on Saturday afternoon. Danny Guthrie after scoring great opening
goal on Saturday After bossing the first half and Danny Guthrie scoring a wonderful goal with his
left foot, everything looked set up to get all 3 points and move into 5th [.
Venue: Craven Cottage, London. Date: Sat 21st Jan, 2011. Kick-Off: 3:00 pm. Referee: Lee Mason
(Lancs). If ever you want to see a textbook example of "a game of two halves", get the DVD of this
game. though personally, it's a video horror show I'll be steering clear of. United went into this
game sitting [.
Yohan Cabaye starts this afternoon and Hatem Ben Arfa also gets a start today on the right wing at
Craven Cottage, in the important game against Fulham. Ben Arfa comes in for Ryan Taylor out on
the right wing, and it seems that Yohan Cabaye is indeed fit after sustaining an ankle injury last
Sunday [.
Ryan Taylor has been little short of a revelation this season for Newcastle. A good action shot
of Ryan Taylor The Liverpudlian has so far played in both full-back positions, out on the right
wing and last Sunday he filled in for Yohan Cabaye in central midfield, when the French
International had to leave the field with an injured ankle.

One thing we were really worried about at half time in Sunday's game against QPR was how long
Yohan Cabaye would be out. Yohan Cabaye still gesticulating as he's being stretchered off Cabaye
was the target of a rather brutal lunging tackle from Shaun Derry, but referee Chris Foy only
gave the QPR defender a yellow card, but it ended up in Cabaye being stretchered [.

Alan Pardew was simply delighted with the performance of his team yesterday, and especially in
the second half. Danny Guthrie challenges Jamie Mackie in yesterday's game The game turned when
Yohan Cabaye had to leave the field with an ankle injury after 20 minutes, and Ryan Taylor again
showed his versatility as the emergency central midfielder and did very well, and Danny
Guthrie had a terrific [.
Alan Pardew was extremely pleased following the 1-0 win against QPR yesterday afternoon at St.
James' Park, and handed new manager Mark Hughes his first loss as the new manager of the London
side. Davide Santon in action yesterday against QPR Newcastle started the game in rather dodgy
fashion, and for the first t20 minutes or so were decidedly [.
As we had expected, Danny Guthrie returns to Newcastle's starting line-up this afternoon against
Queens Park Rangers at St. James' Park. The Shrewsbury-born player will start in central midfield
alongside Yohan Cabaye, and comes in for 19 year-old Mehdi Abeid, who drops down to the bench. And
Ryan Taylor replaces Gabriel Obertan on the right wing and Hatem Ben Arfa [.
Liverpool's failure to defeat Stoke at Anfield means that a Newcastle win against QPR on Sunday
would see the Geordies move up to sixth in the Premier League. How much has Kenny Dalglish spent?
How much have Newcastle spent? Oh yeah, and Liverpool have Stevie G. the world's greatest ever
midfield player (ahem).
