Duka To Sign With MLS

WVHooligan 07 November @ 05:20 PM EST

I know I normally take the weekend's off but I do think this news is noteworthy enough to get me to the laptop to type it out. Steve Goff reported earlier today that former New York Red Bull academy player and Rutgers star Dilly Duka is set to sign with Major League Soccer.

Instead of exploring options in Europe like he had hoped after he left Rutgers earlier this fall, Duke now is set to sign a four-year deal with the league.

Big East Quarterfinals: A Look Ahead

Soccer By Ives 06 November @ 01:59 PM EST

by TRAVIS CLARK

The Big East happens to be an earlier starter when it comes to the postseason tournament. The first round took place midweek, and while it's too early to pronounce some of the results as upsets, DePaul managing to squeak into the quarterfinals comes as a slight surprise -- the Demons drew 2-2 at Georgetown before winning on penalties.

Men's College Soccer Wrap: No. 1 Akron wins again, No. 3 UCSB held

Soccer By Ives 05 November @ 11:45 AM EST

Conference tournaments are right around the corner, increasing the stakes of each match this late in the college soccer season. While the No. 1 Akron Zips have certainly earned at least an at-large bid, an undefeated regular season is still in sight. The Zips did nothing to harm the cause Wednesday, eking out a 2-1 win against Michigan State to remain undefeated on the year.

Against The Run Of Play 03 October @ 07:48 AM EST
The South Florida women edged visiting Seton Hall (4-6-1) on Friday night with a 1-0 victory off a goal by Chelsea Klotz [left]. Her eighty-fourth minute goal, assisted by Noelle Pineiro, was the second time in as many games that the duo had teamed up for the game winner. It's okay, we are all in that boat. I am trying to finish up the Bext XI, Worst XI, Team of the Week this afternoon, but am having a hard time getting it done.
