Pretty much. Unless you're a QPR fan, nothing worth knowing went down. Though fake stories,
false sightings of players on trains to [insert your city], and "Carlos Tevez to Aston Villa!!!"
twitter hoaxes were in abundance. If you are interested, that's fine. Our friends at The World's
Game summed up today's events succinctly enough.
Editor's note: Today, the staff here at PUT woke from a 3 month whiskey and BIMBO brand mini
Kaiser roll-induced haze to the realization that face-of-the-franchise, leading scorer and all
around exception to French stereotypes Sebastien Le Toux was gone. His side of the closet was
empty, his neon boots no longer by the door.
It has been a busy and confusing few days for Union fans. Kerith Gabriel has an updated story on
the Faryd Mondragon, Seba Le Toux and Roger Torres. So with the latest information, here is a quick
rundown of where we are at:
Sebastien Le Toux rumors (Rumors = no confirmed sources)
- The Union's all-time leader in goals, assists, minutes played, and hilarious goal dances will
not be moving to England's Bolton Wanderers.
It was interesting reading the other day when I spotted this article in The SUN stating that AVB
will be given a £150 "war chest" from Roman Abramovich to spend in January as he is desperate to
cut the gap to Manchester City and United in the title race.
According to the article, Chelsea are looking at Edison Cavani and Marek Hamsek of Napoli, Milos
Krasic and Gary Cahill.
I think it's fair to say that Josh McEachran's minutes on the pitch in the first team this season
have been limited to say the least. I fully expect McEachran to play tonight against Everton away
in the League Cup but, as seemingly the case this season, a return to the bench for the Arsenal on
Saturday.
I posted the other week about some of our unsung hero's that don't make many headlines on the
football pitch. One was Ramires as we all know how well he has been playing this season, the other
was Ashley Cole who has been outstanding for us this season!.
His form has been consistently good and once again he is having an influence on our attacking play
as much as defending.
NTR: More Cosmos Rumors
As if you hadn't had enough. Claims they will be announced as the 20th team before the end of
the year.
Transfer deadline day is just around the corner.
What Felix needs to know: all potential transfer targets need to be on the official DFL transfer
list by 12pm tomorrow. All paperwork for the transfer needs to be send to the DFL headquarters by
6pm tomorrow.
Here is what Felix already got done since Saturday or is currently busy working on:
Sergio Aguero: Striker, surely. Argentine, indubitably. Statement of intent? Quite possibly. After
putting himself on the transfer market, via Twitter of all places, the Atletico Madrid striker has
become one of the hottest strikers available, albeit with an immensely high price tag. If Juventus
can somehow scrape the money together however, the move may pay off immensely.
Thomas Di Benedetto is a stranger in a strange land. As an American in charge of an Italian
football club Italy being infamously insular when it comes to calcio the Bostonian needs to make a
strong and favorable impression immediately upon the minds of Romanisti. The club's most noticeable
problem is a leaky defence, the likes of which is prone to spectacular mistakes in judgments.
John Terry is quoted today in The Telegraph speaking of speculation regarding our new manager. As
you can imagine, he was asked on his opinions about all the names being linked with the club and in
particular Guus Hiddink and Mark Hughes, especially as Hughes resigned from Fulham yesterday and is
looking to manage a "bigger" club.
It began with coaches, it continues with goalkeepers. The Bundesliga is in quite a reshuffling
mood at the moment.
- Manuel Neuer to Bayern. This isn't really a rumor anymore, but rather a
foregone conclusion, now that Neuer announced his Schalke exit during a teary eyed press
conference.
