A string of Tweets this afternoon seem to have pieced together a trade coming up between Sporting Kansas City and the Portland Timbers.

The string started when Thad Bell Tweeted out that Sporting KC was set to make a trade with Portland, sending a fourth round pick in this year's Superdraft to the Timbers for something that would be announced next week.

Sporting KC didn't make any moves today in the short three hour trade window, but they've been linked with another player in Europe as the MLS offseason officially gets underway. Reports out of Spain are linking Sporting KC with Deportivo La Coruna midfielder, Alex Bergantinos.

The report states that Bergantinos has received an offer from Kansas City that the article labels "tempting and interesting" to make a move to MLS.

Reports tonight should bring some good news to Sporting Kansas City fans as Jeff Carlisle is reporting that Benny Feilhaber is set to spurn offers from abroad and return to Kansas City in 2017. Alfredo Pedulla, a journalist in Italy posted earlier today that a move by Italian giants, Juventus for Sporting KC defender, Erik Palmer-Brown was close. He explained that the club has reached a deal with Sporting and it's just a matter of negotiating with MLS to secure the deal. The deal would not go through until the 2015 summer transfer window, because Palmer-Brown does not turn 18 until April of 2015 and does not hold a EU passport.

Word out of Ecuador today is that Barcelona SC (the one in Ecuador) is interested in bringing in Sporting KC designated player, Claudio Bieler. The team's manager, Ruben Israel is apparently for the move. Barcelona (who oddly enough played Kansas City in the Copa Mercanorte in 2001) is apparently looking to put the investment in to bring Bieler back to Ecuador.

Reports out of Honduras today by journalist, Julio César Núñez are that Jorge Claros' time in Kansas City is coming to an end. Núñez is reporting that Claros is headed to join Qingdao Jonoon, of the Chinese League One (the second division in China).
