Updated U.S. roster for Denmark friendly

Edgar Castillo, Stuart Holden, Jose Francisco Torres, and Ricardo Clark were called in. Clint Dempsey, Steve Cherundolo and Chad Marshall have been sent home.

U.S. announce roster for U-17 World Cup

The U.S. will open Group E play in Kano, Nigeria against Spain on Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. local time (2 p.m. ET). The team will stay at Sani Abacha Stadium to play Malawi on Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. (11 a.m. ET) before moving to Ijebu-Ode and Gateway International Stadium to finish the first round against United Arab Emirates on Nov.

Thirty-six players called in for U-18 Men’s National Team Camp

From US Soccer U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team head coach Mike Matkovich has called 36 players to a domestic training camp at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. from Oct. 6-13.

Matkovich's group includes 33 players who are currently part of U.S. Soccer's Development Academy, representing 23 different clubs.

Clint Dempsey out of Honduras qualifier

US Soccer is reporting that Clint "Don't Tread" Dempsey sprained his shoulder and will miss the qualifier vs. Honduras on Saturday. No word on the Costa Rice qualifier yet. Some might say this is a good thing after some of his recent performances for the Nats, but it sounds like he's been playing better for Fulham lately.

There have been a lot of additions and departures with the current Gold Cup roster. It's all been pretty hard to follow. Here is the list of who is thought to be in camp for the next game (though there are more players who could be called in for the weekend):

USA Gold Cup roster extended to 30

As reported on Goal.com, the USMNT have been granted seven extra spots on their Gold Cup roster due to their recent participation in the Confederations Cup. The US will still be limited to 18 men on game day. Based on the players already selected, here the group we believe will fill out the 30-man roster:

DaMarcus Beasley is now the 18th man on the USA roster to face Guatemala in Guatemala City on Wednesday. Beasley was initially left off the roster due to his most recent long-term hamstring injury.  But he has recovered and was made available for the USA's important away qualifier.
